I understand I also have a bro abroad. who doesn't care if I exist I also don't care if he exist. Didn't speak to my dad for 10 years till he heard my brother died. One of my uncles from mother's side had been in UK since 1980,before I was even born. He's the first born and only son,and since then he had not come to Nigeria. When my grandma died in 2009,he no show up,we even tot he's dead,but some Nigerians in UK that used to see him said he's still alive.

When my grandpa died In 2012 at 98,the man no still show up despite reaching out to him. Shishi he no send. I heard from history that his papa used his life savings to send him to sch in those days because he's a male and that's why my mother didn't go beyond secondary sch.

That story still dey pain my mama till this day, that she now fears any of her children leaving Nigeria. She prefers mk she dey see us like this even if we dey struggle. Life sha!!

See done othe them get stuck in that UK life style earning minimum wage working and sleeping with just the minimum to show for it. Rent has to be paid or they get homeless, those with mortgages nko, living from hand to mouth without possibility of savings. The miss work for 1 day it scatter their finances. Most are also over their heads in credit card debt. As money enters it is gone. Imagine you earn 2k and expenses to survive is 1950.
The lucky ones break out if it earlier before it is too late.
