As at 1992, NEC had been conducting elections into various elective positions as Nigeria was transitioning into a democratic system. Nwosu failed woefully as an umpire empowered by the constitution.

Despite going against the wishes of the military Head of State to conduct the freest and fairest elections, Nwosu isn't appreciated.

Except there is something else I am oblivious about, I smell a tribal connotation in this. This is all because Prof. Nwosu is an Igbo man and nothing more!
