Tinubu swore an oath to keep Nigeria safe. He has failed. He removed a whole governor for oil pipelines, but when it comes to human lives, his silence is deafening. If Edo is not immediately declared a state of emergency, Tinubu will forever be remembered as the President who let Nigerians burn in the streets while playing politics with gangsters like Wike and Ganduje.

If Tinubu cannot lead with decisiveness, the Senate must begin impeachment proceedings—so he can stop his power games and start governing. The North will never forget this betrayal if action is not taken. You had the balls to do it before, Mr. President. Do it again.

Sixteen travelers were brutally killed in the Udune Efandion community of Uromi, Edo State, on Thursday after being wrongly accused of kidnapping.
The victims, mostly hunters of Hausa origin, were traveling from Port Harcourt to Kano for the Sallah celebration when they were stopped around 1:30 p.m. by members of the Edo State Security Corps and local vigilantes. The presence of their Dane guns, traditionally used for hunting in Northern Nigeria, was misinterpreted as a security threat. Instead of alerting law enforcement, the vigilantes sounded an alarm that incited panic and violence.
A mob, acting on the false accusation, launched a deadly attack, killing 16 travelers on the spot. Their vehicle was set on fire, with some of the bodies trapped inside. Others were reportedly dragged out and thrown into the flames.
Security operatives responded to a distress call but arrived too late to prevent the killings. However, four survivors were rescued and taken to His Grace Hospital in Uromi for medical care.
Authorities have confirmed the arrest of five suspects linked to the attack, as investigations continue.

Jungle justice will never end in Africa. It is now part of the culture for most ethnics. What the police should do is to round up the perpetrators and ensure justice is served.
When Fulani herdsmen mud people, they do so in hidden outside camera usually in the dead of the night. When Southerners retaliate, they foolishly carry camera and video it and upload online. So when they now get arrested and charged with murder, they shout double standard.

They were in a public transport, traveling.The driver saw them load their guns from the beginning of the journey and i am sure they told him why they had guns.
If he didnt feel comfortable carrying them. He would have stated. No citizen should die in his own country while in public transport.

If the police and military were sufficient they would have handled this properly.

Better still, if police had handled arrest of these sort of persons properly previously they would have handed them over to the police.
