I had my interview on the 19th of this month and it went to administrative processing.😡😡

Chai. My friend's parents' interview went well but embassy demanded I-864 from his spouse. So what was the in-person document review all about? Now, the battle to courier their passports from Abuja to Lagos. This was the same thing with the other folks' that has been hanging since November.

My brother applied for B2 USA visa last year and he was denied. This year he replied but he can't book appointment.
AVITS keeps saying post is required.
We have navigated through the site and nothing is working.

These people just intentionally want many people to fail and get the delayed, otherwise they would have specifically pointed out what documents are missing at the In-person document review. Like you said, what's the usefulness of it.

I went very prepared, I had my petitioner and my joint sponsor's tax papers up to date. The only problem was that my joint sponsor's own was individual income tax return (form 1040) which is also acceptable in place of IRS transcripts. Now they say they are only going to be accepting the IRS transcripts for the interview. And they never deemed it fit to tell us at the In-person document review..

Now I have to start another game of waiting. This whole thing is just so exhausting even for my petitioner and joint sponsor. I have informed the joint sponsor though and he said the document will be ready in 2 weeks..

What's even more tiring is the fact that I have to travel to Lagos from Benin every damn time and lodging in a hotel, coupled with the risk associated with traveling along Nigerian highways. This interview made it 4 times I have been to Lagos in one month. Even if I want use flight, I go fit use flight to and fro 4 times?

This site don't work and they keep referring applicants to here to book appointments. These people should just put restriction on Nigeria instead of all these subtle cumbersome processes which I consider a restriction in low capability.

I feel your pains, concerns, and financial costs. There is a plot to dissuade would-be LPRs. Just get to know this. Chill and go back to Lagos next month; deliver to OIS the requested doc, the instruction pages, and your passport (I want to believe you've your Passport). Upload the Joint sponsor doc too.

Nigerians of marriage ages have 10% of getting the B1/B2 because large number of them in the US are over-stayers, hence undocumented. I know of a family who have two US-born children there who are under 5 years. How would waiting for one to turn 21 years to file for their parents be, with Trump asking and mandating undocumented folks to register with the govt or face charges and deportations? Damn you, if you do; damn you, if you don't do!

Yes my passport was given back to me. My prayer is that they review it on time and issue it before my medical expires.

Please I will always be mentioning you in case I hit a dead end in the OIS service.

Don't bother too much about the medical's expiration as we await the embassy to decide what to take or do. I will respond to you so long as I dey alive, brother.

I dont understand what you mean by application letter

Are all your documents current
Especially tax transcripts for sponsor or petotooner. You need the one for 2023

Birth certificate or NPC age declaration

Medicals done?

I just had my interview a few weeks ago. My advice to you is as follows

1. In my case individual income tax return (form 1040) was rejected. Only IRS transcripts was accepted. I think this may depend on the interviewer.

2. The VO that interviewed me made me understand that form W2 was compulsory.

3. Have your pictures with your petitioner available. Especially old pictures if there's any, if there's not, then recent pictures will do. Your chat records dating at least now till last year; if you have older years chats even better.

4. Go and study your AOS very well; the lady opened mine on the computer screen and asked me questions from it.

5. Just say you don't know or have forgotten whichever the case might be to a question you are not sure of the answer.. After all, you are not a robot that stores all information in your head and remember them. That's why they mostly ask you fundamental and basic questions they know you are supposed to at least remember about your petitioner if the relationship you claim actually exists.

6. Lastly, also try to know as much information about your joint sponsor as possible especially if the person is related to you or your principal petitioner..

It's form Ds 260 you filled and submitted. You don't need that to fill another one.

Print a copy of the i864 that you submitted to nvc.
Most recent transcript is 2023 that what you need to get. When you submitted to nvc the year was 2022 so that's old you need the current one at least.
Get rhe tax transcript and W2. For 2023.

Also check if your police character certificate is still valid.

Is your petitioner your only sponsor? Or do they have a joint sponsor?
Is your petitioner married and do they file taxes together?

Give or take take 8 years
