Yea, I heard all this too, I'm sure more details would come out soon and we'd know exactly what played out.

Those allegations against the lady may be true and may not be true. The police can always investigate and prosecute her if she's found wanting for those allegations against her.

Away from that, nobody is talking about the number of hospitals that rejected him and didn't give him first aid treatment when he was rushed there. They kept moving him from one hospital to the other till he was pronounced dead.

To me, I think that's the major issue that needs to be addressed in this country. I think it should be a crime for hospitals to reject victims of accidents and gunshot injuries without giving them at least first aid treatment to stabilize them.

Akpabio isn't the first person I've defended accused without evidence of sexual harassment. I've created threads on it. I've gone back-and-forth for years since 2016. I can even share WhatsApp group screenshots of me defending him and insisting on evidence while women in the group try to gaslight me. And it's with my full details so I know the consequences.

If you were accused without evidence, I'd defend you. My like, dislike or indifference to you matters little then.

You've clearly taken a pro-Akpabio position, regardless of what the truth of the situation might be and while I get why you'd take that position, understand that people asking for transparency and due process in the matter don't necessarily mean they support Natasha.

False rape/sexual harassment accusations would probably not even be among top 10 things taking men to prison but I'm sure you don't care...agenda na the main thing

Accusations from trolls and anonymous monikers on Nairaland is different from the accusations from persons in real-life making such accusations with their government names. Akpabio's situation is the latter.

Other than Akpabio, have you seen any other senator getting accused of crimes of this nature, and given the repeated accusations the man has faced, don't you think his situation demands at least a transparent cross-examination?

I don't think the news reportage is complete Sha. Maybe the police already recovered the stolen items from the criminals and the 200k is just monetary compensation awarded by the court in favor of the victim for her troubles.

Maybe that was not stated by the reporter/correspondent that wrote the news Sha.
That is the only thing that can make the judgement make sense.

Which two incidents separately? Somebody condemned the jungle justice, supported the government's call for the prosecution of the perpetrators and also advised the government to address issues of other killings that has been happening which may lead to reprisal attacks.

Which other killingsssss? After berating the jungle justice, he was specific and asked government to do something about the alleged killing of Edo indigenes. He didn't talk about killings going on throughout the country as you are trying to paint. He was specific.

I know you are an Obidient, and it's fine that you want to always defend Obi's actions. In my opinion, Obi could have done better not to have mentioned the alleged killings of Edo indigenes when the jungle justice was carried out in Edo on non-indigenes, in the same post. Unwise.
