The bolded is wrong. Fasting begins before 5:30 am and ends around 7pm. That's almost 14 hours of not eating or drinking anything for a full month. Some people that can't eat so early usually skip the morning meal (sahur) and fast all the way to around 7pm.

Eid is a day of celebration for Muslims. There are two Eids and this particular one comes at the end of the Islamic lunar month of Ramadan

Eid Mubarak means Blessed Eid. It's a way of wishing someone to have a good one...kind of like saying Merry Christmas

The entire month of Ramadan (29 or 30days) is to be fasted from before the break of dawn to sunset. I.e fasting starts before the dawn prayer and ends with the evening prayer at sunset...roughly 14hrs but the time varies from place to place depending on the sun's cycle (sunrise to sunset)

Fasting involves not eating, not drinking, no sexual intercourse, no lying, no cursing and devotion to worship

On the day of Eid, Muslims go to the prayer ground for the Eid prayer. As regards the prayer itself, only Muslims can pray, but non-Muslims can partake in all other celebrations if they choose to

There are two Eids and this one is the lesser one. In the major Eid, Muslims slaughter lambs

The major Eid is some months away
