Felicity001:The CNG experience is still being expected from you |
| Re: Mercedes Benz Thread by Felicity001(m): 9:09am On Mar 16, 2025 |
Kewtt:You go grow white bear bear nongonuse google deybthere dey wait for experience because I be tails by moon light teller. So fear dey catch you? Did you not do your research very well b4 you converted your car from peteo to CNG? If your levels never reach to buy a 2025 Prado, humble yourself, don't go and comvert or upgrade a GX470 to 2022 Prado. It will never be a 2022 car, never! So, if you want a CNG car save up and buy the one that was produced from factory not all those roadside workshop that didn't go through the proper research, design and foundational production, test and approval. They are a time.bomb waitimg to explode. |

Hello everyone. I have a c230 2005 v6 engine. I use mobil3000 to service but after 3 weeks, it indicate engine oil low ( oil dries off) kindly advise what is the most suitable engine oil for this car to avoid engine oil being dried. Tank you |
| Re: Mercedes Benz Thread by 2cribz: 4:45pm On Mar 22, 2025 |
No suitable oil. When last did u decarbonize your engine, when last were your plugs serviced. Your pcv valve is it ok,do u have engine oil leak fron exhaust area, pulley area, etc. Can u visibly see oil leaks around that area. If no leaks.prepare to sell it quick. If not,by the time mechanic with rewire finish with your BEN I swear, the door with bonnet fit no key in or close. U fit put key for door hole, alarm go blow, press remote, alarm go blow.sha no make dem gather call u car thief oh.tyre with fuel.na straight to heaven. Sell the BEN u r driving. No be benz. No matter the oil,a 2005 car would have had expired gaskets, high mileage, expired valve stem seals cos the 0 circle on top of the seals would have expanded to the size of condom,it will have burnt piston tops as well as stuck piston rings. Old car dey good for abroad as u can quickly tackle with additives and lubricants.not like naija ,home of fake. Upgrade total 20w50 timigreene: |

2cribz:OP ignore this guy he has nothing good to advice you. I bought my benz then, c200K 2003 model with just 89k ODO, if not for lack of experience then and stupid, wicked and insincer part sellers at ladipo who sold to me abad radiator water can that resulted to overheating after nearly 24hrs the engine wouldn't have had any top gasket issues. Over heating is not good for any car at all, but if you bought the car tokunbo and you know the history very well and you're sure it has no overheat history, then don't worry about gasket. Is the engine smoking? If not, be carefully with where you buy this current oil. Is this the first time this issue started? Did you just bought the car? If yes , as toks or local used. You must give answers to these questions b4 you can find a solution. Have a good mechanic check it. |

Felicity001:Thanks I got the vehicle Nigerian used last yr December. I firstly serviced dec 11 after service it travelled from Kaduna to ibadan and I serviced again end of February then barely 3weeks after the 2nd service it indicates oil shortage. No form of smoking, I got the oil from a mobil filling station. I was at the mechanic place yesterday to check for visible leakage but there was non |
| Re: Mercedes Benz Thread by Felicity001(m): 5:20am On Mar 24, 2025 |
timigreene:First we all have to understand the usage and service intervals for our cars. When I was driving Japanese I used 5w30, and I do 12 to 15k mile b4 I change my oil. When I got my MB same system, 12k to 15k miles... no matter the distance travelled. The only thing I do is top up in the morning b4 starting the car. Oil shortage is normal with cars, especially after a very long drive, say 1000km above, you will.definately experience shortage because oil burns, pcv wears out, verve seals wear out as well, lubrication occur inside the engine, oil is being used in all of these so no way the oil won't short. All you need to do is top up or change when due. Mind you, the oil I used for 12 to 15km miles then was mobil1 full synthetic direct from yankee so I confidently do 12km b4 change. But when I down grade to other mineral oil like harder, Northwest, still 5w30 due to economic constrain especially when the dollar spiked, ah! I do 3k to 4k b4 change If I use mobilXHP I only do 2.5k b4 change. Another thing to note, during mobil1, I change oil filter at 6k miles, meaning I change filter every 6k/7k miles without changing oil o... but at 12k or 14/15k miles.i.change both. So.OP you need to understand how the system works and work out what works best for you. Oil Shortage is normal in cars but what is abnormal is oil dry up. |
| Re: Mercedes Benz Thread by Felicity001(m): 5:35am On Mar 24, 2025 |
timigreene:You mentioned 2 key words here... the C230 that I know or I used doesn't have a dip stick so I check for my oil gauge through the.instrument cluster. Now, you mentioned 2 thing It's indicated oil low (oil dry off) Is it on the instrument cluster you saw oil low? What did you really see, oil low of oil dry off Does your car has a dip stick? Did your mechanic check through the dip stick to know the level of oil in the engine? Did you check the level of oil via the instrument cluster in the morning b4 starting to know the volume of oil? All of these is very important., so do these and update us because the car is still new to you, you'll need time to understand how the system works. And with the type of oil you're using I'll advice you change after every 2k or 2.5k km drive. Is that the oil the former owner was using? Did you ask him? Its important to also know this. That engine is very expensive now ooo you need to use the right oil for ot |
| Re: Mercedes Benz Thread by timigreene(m): 1:27pm On Mar 24, 2025 |
Felicity001:A notification of oil shortage popped up on instrumental cluster. My car has a dipstick and I further went to check with the dipstick and it was really low. Unfortunately, I don't have the details of the former car owner. I got the car from a dealer. |

Hello everyone, please I need a review of the ML 350 2007 model...what are the relative issues with the car cos I'm about purchasing one ... kindly help |
| Re: Mercedes Benz Thread by Felicity001(m): 8:02am On Mar 26, 2025 |
phlamingboy:It's a very reliable, strong and rugged SUV. But I prefer the 2008/010, though the same body but better engineering. Just make sure you inspect very well b4 making payment especially if you're buying a local used. If you're buying a FU checkmfor body and airbag damage and for rust. Its a good car Local.used is currently sold for around 7m 9m depending on usage and neatness FU is around 12m upwards |

I drive a Mercedes E320, each time I do fill my tank with gasoline, the fuel will begin to drop on the ground at the gas station, this will happen until I drive the car for some few miles and the drop will stop. Have anyone experience this or what could be responsible for this. |

Acura TSX 2010 your car is rated 23 mpg US average. That is 10 liters per 100km, provided all is well. So if you use 140 litres per month it means you are covering 1400 km on the average or minimum of 1,166km with your 140 litres....city driving. are you hawking with the car? Obidikejr: |
