He should never have been allowed into the ring in the first place if they had done a thorough medical check up prior to the fight.

I'm thinking same or something else up there. Seems like he literally dropped dead .... no movement. How trained and experienced was the referee is questionable because I'm guessing the referee should've noticed something odd in his eyes or something showing all is not well. Hope he was not hiding a medical condition. I hope his family can manage the sudden lost. For his opponent .... that will also be hard on him ... that he will not feel guilty because he did not land a punch that caused him to collapse.

You know how many times boxing greats like Ali,Frazier,Tyson,Lewis etc have almost fainted on their legs and yet managed to stay on and even win a fight? Tyson even fought with broken ear drums,broken spine ,broken jaw and yet went on to win..

Look closely at the beginning of the video. His opponent delivered a blow that forced him to snap his head back rather quickly. This of course doesn't mean it was that blow that did him in. But just like it isn't one hit of the hammer that shatters the rock, after multiple hits, just one additional hit gets the job done.

Head injuries are unpredictable. You never can tell what sets them off.
