What’s wrong with southern politicians? I don’t understand the hold northerners have on southern politicians because the way these our people behave whenever there’s a matter involving northerners is becoming worrisome. They’d chose the violent and useless Hausa/fulani over their own people that elected them. Wtf?

How many times have northern governors come down to the south to sympathize with families of people killed by Fulani herdsmen and terrorists?

This guy might end up as the most useless Gov the state ever had in history and the whole of south,this guy can empty the state treasury to appease whoever....

This isn't just about your governor. Most Southern governors/politicians normally appease their northern counter part in the name of building political bridge cox North have the numbers, especially those politicians wey get political ambition at the national level.

I just don’t get the hold northerners have on our politicians. Nothing that happens in this country goes down without the cooperation of southern politicians, yet they continuously engage in policies that don’t benefit the very people who elected them. It’s crazy man.

Call me a pessimist or whatever, but I just don’t see Nigeria ever working as a country. Even if you give it 300 years, the divide between the north and south is just too deep.

Nothing is wrong with what the Governor did to forestall reprisal attacks. Edo indigenes/residents must not feel the brunt of their Uromi people's ignorance and the Governor has a duty to protect them and initiate the peace move. Development thrives where there is peace and the Governor understands this.

We preach justice but frown at someone who strives to serve justice. We all know what we are doing, and it doesn't bode well.

Which reprisals? So far I’ve come to realize that the only way to tame these rabid abokis is to give them violence for violence.

Only a naive person would think this so called condolence visit will have any effect on those that have already made up their mind to cause trouble going by the numerous threats they've been dishing out on social media. Smh

If he likes, let him not task his state security outfit to beef up security within and on the outskirts of the state ; let him be thinking the condolence visit will prevent those guys from doing what they already have in their mind.

You are right and this is even beyond politicians because we see it on this thread and forum every single day! I have been on record talking about this issue.

Northern politicians make comments about a sensitive topic, everybody stays mute but the moment a Southern politician makes a contribution to the same topic, he/she is attacked non-stop. I mean, the Southern politician can even repeat the same thing the Northern politician said and was ignored.

I will continue to say it, the South is not ready!
