Professor returns to Nigeria After Spending 48 years in Canada, With no Children, Wife, money.

A video is trending about Prof. Amos Ishola Awodiya, the first professor of Heuristic Education in the world (or Africa, depending on your choice). He is currently under the care of Agbala Gabriel.

The professor, whose identity remains undisclosed in the video, reportedly left Nigeria in the 1970s to pursue academic and professional opportunities in Canada.

Over the course of 48 years, he built a career as an educator, contributing to the academic community in his adopted country.

However, the video reveals that his return to Nigeria comes under starkly different circumstances than one might expect from such a long tenure abroad. With no children, no wife, and no financial reserves, his homecoming paints a sobering picture of isolation and resilience.

In the footage, the professor reflects on his life abroad, hinting at personal and financial challenges that eroded the stability he once had after losing his wife.

In a follow-up update on Saturday, Cleric Agbala Gabriel confirmed that he is in talks with the professor's family, noting that the professor has children but is suffering from old age.

He wrote: "We have started working on HIM. Investigations going on
Some of His family members are here
Baba has children, old age is somehow affecting HIM. We are bringing Him live on Facebook soon today, stay tuned."

When old age deals with some people... Even the strongest of men could be brought on his knees.

So, plan for the future now that you're young.... Secure that future rather than popping Azul and Casemigos upandan the club!!!

I think his wife left him (died) but he didn't leave the wife (failed to accept reality and start life again).

So he kept glued to his past while his present and future fade away right in his own eyes.

Canada has never been a country where migrants succeed financially, maybe some fortunate and smart ones do, but generally, Canada is just a layback country where you just live an average life till old age, most people that live in Canada hardly have enough savings to invest back in Nigeria.

Remember, there are very few fortunate ones making it in Canada but not common like America, etc

Na wa

It's possible The demise of his wife affected him enormously

However, Canada is a country where most of the money made is taken back by tax. The only saving grace is the exchange rate with naira and of course the higher standard of living but overall, Canada is a rather laid back place

Unfortunately its very pathetic. He should have finished his life there. Either he didn't get citizenship or he was forced out.

Only God knows how many people he helped with millions of dollars he earned as a lecturer/professor.

With citizenship, he will be supported by government with monthly living wage, free medical coverage, free housing till death in old peoples home.

I beg to differ. He is a professor for crying out loud. As long as there are disparities between our currency and the CAD, you can always have something to send home. Unless you are sick or overcommitted.

The story is not really as it's been painted. Firstly the man has children and a wife. Some people on Facebook have accused him of being a scammer. One pastor said the man lived in his church for a year but ran away when they asked him to provide his family cry
