......most of these folks hailed Fubara till he gets suspended as Governor of Rivers State. Monday, you guys may not like it, did the right thing. I schooled partially in the North and I witnessed first hand how these folks responded to reprisal attack. If he didn't take the move, Southerners in the North have much to lose than Northerners in the South. How many Northerners own shops or businesses in the South?! Go to the North and see businesses own by Southerners scatter everywhere. We should even thank God it happened to Kano Indigenes and not to Sokoto Indigenes, also that it happened during Ramadan, otherwise it would have escalated and spiral-balled into something else. Maybe President Tinubu would have declared SoE in half of the States of Federation by now. Monday did well and should be appreciated. Any sacrifice made to achieve peace should be celebrated not mocked. Lenten Talk 101 |

Spy360:I think it's a weak move either way. Indigenes of Edo State have been getting killed while asleep and in their farms, some of these criminals have been apprehended, which of the Northern governors has thought to do anything like what he's doing to prevent blood shed? All he needed do release a statement speaking against insecurity within the state, indicate that the government is ready to co-operate with security authorities to apprehend those responsible, and send condolences to the families of those that lost loved ones. What he's doing now is to appease his party leaders and Godfathers...Edo's have unanimously condemned the actions, but at the same time shown that we're not ready to do more than what's come to be the norm when things like this happen, whether to us, or in other parts of the country. |

TemporaryHansel:No sir, is better we start seeing people for who they are and not where they come from, tribe and all of that. Let love lead. At this point we should be preaching peace. In the past, we have seen Southerners being attacked in the North and Northerners being attacked in the South. Did anything come out good in any of these attacks? No. Ignore those people on twitter calling for reprisal attack. They don't represent the North. No one will even dare. |

Oasis003:Why should he go the extra mile to sue for peace when security agencies are on the matter and the perpetrators of the dastardly act have been arrested... The mobs were dumb, but dont act as if this happen in isolation, the villages in the state are under attacks by northerners wielding guns either for hunting or herding, hence the fear.... |

TemporaryHansel: ![]() ......stùpidity runs in you - Mr. OG Soupie. In fact, your name should be a synonym for stupidity. Ain't you again that screenshots of your stùpid acts were plastered all over pages just a few hours ago?! Come on, don't let your stupidity become hereditary. You may be a lost cause, but at least save your lineage. |

airmark:Thank you hare, The governor’s condolence visit was a necessary step to prevent further violence. His actions were not only compassionate but also a strategic move to ensure peace and stability. I wonder how our people no dey see anything good in our leaders, once the leaders is not our choice even if he turns all the dust to gold, we will still criticise. Criticism is natural in governance, but it should be constructive. Those questioning the governor’s visit fail to see its importance in preventing reprisals and reinforcing the rule of law. A responsible leader prioritizes long-term security over popular sentiment. Development thrives in a peaceful environment. Without security, progress stalls. The governor understands this and has acted accordingly. Instead of constant fault-finding, citizens should support efforts that promote stability. Only through unity can Edo State continue on its path to progress. Saying sorry isn't a sign of weakness but is a weapon of bravery. |

It appears the Mainstream media has been gagged such that they are not reporting this kind news. This is why I don't completely write off Sahara reporters

TemporaryHansel:This is where you all got it wrong. These people don't have homes or houses outside their state. Can you show me any Hausa houses in the South East, or South West, or South-south? Then I'll show you tens of thousands of houses built by Igbo, Yoruba, and other tribes in the North. These people come to the South with nothing but mats, kettles, and cutlasses, and they commit atrocities, and disappear. They have nothing to lose. But for those who have built houses, have their businesses, and raised children in the north and you are here and saying "violence for violence" it's a different story my brother. When you realise your investment over there, You'll think twice before engaging in violence, knowing you have so much to lose. |

FakeNEWSevryday:A good leader does the right thing at the right time, for peace to reign. Most people condemning his action will sleep with their eyes closed unlike those Edo people within those areas susceptible to reprisal attacks. Most Nigerians are self-centered and ignorant, and that's the major reason we keep having insensitive and bad leaders. |

FakeNEWSevryday:In my opinion, with the way this country works, no sane southerner should be living in the north. Those abokis are so mentally fvcked up, a picture of Mohammad being desecrated in a far away country is enough for the apes in the north to destroy everything you’ve built. Wtf will you have investments or stay in a volatile region like that where the indigenes still reason like people in the 13th century? |
