Well, I don't have a party and I can't remember the last time i voted in Nigeria. I should even be the first to wish APC government, woes like most of you Obidients are doing.

With the back and forth today, it further shows the reason why Nigeria shouldn’t be one country, different people with different ideologies and values
This experiment called Nigeria can never work, even if given 200 more years.

A good leader does the right thing at the right time, for peace to reign. Most people condemning his action will sleep with their eyes closed unlike those Edo people within those areas susceptible to reprisal attacks.

Most Nigerians are self-centered and ignorant, and that's the major reason we keep having insensitive and bad leaders.
This reprisal attacks na dey shout since, una no go like rest, are they the only ones with monopoly of reprisal attack.....

People who can't go the farms cos they are either abducted or killed, fear no reprisal attacks when push comes to shove....

You lots are the ignorant and self centred ones who wants people to keep living in perpetual fear in their ancestral lands just for peace to reign...

The Owo killing was carried out in Owo and can you tell me the state the killers came from and evidence that they did that to defend their state, so I can blame the Governor?

In my opinion, with the way this country works, no sane southerner should be living in the north. Those abokis are so mentally fvcked up, a picture of Mohammad being desecrated in a far away country is enough for the apes in the north to destroy everything you’ve built. Wtf will you have investments or stay in a volatile region like that where the indigenes still reason like people in the 13th century?
I don't disagree with you on your saying about Southerners living in the North,
but the current reality is that many Nigerians especially Southerners live in the North including from my own family as well. For decades there is an imbalance between the North and South in terms of migrations and the south has more to lose.

In life when you have more to lose, you thread carefully, In Yoruba sayings you call a cow brother and you call a madman the groom just so you can breathe
You as a governor of Edo, Enugu or Ogun have to care about your people who happen to live in these places and how you can prevent loss of their lives and properties.

There are likely more Southern people living in the North, There are the higher quality of Southerners living in the North vs North in the South

If you are to randomly pick 1000 Northerners in the South and pick 1000 Southerners in the North. You will see the disproportion in it

And those people who have more to lose have to be the ones suing for peace

In football terms if Liverpool and Man Utd are fighting They are about to red card VVD and Maguire, Most likely amigoss will be the one begging the ref to calm down because of the effect on both sides

A country like Nigeria with a faux criminal justice system will never work.

The same country where Boko Haram members (hardened terrorists) who waged war against their country are declared "repentant" and released back into the society either as free men or enlisted into the country's army.

A country where few criminals attack and kill military men in the south and an entire village is sacked by the military with the military authorities justifying the extra judicial killings.

A country where both educated and unlettered people from a region believe there's a justification for their fellow human to be killed because he or she insulted the prophet.

A country where leaders are afraid to call out senseless killings and criticize their blood thirsty followers for fear of losing political goodwill.

How can such country work?

There are some things that are not politically correct to say but Salah and Antony no be the same thing for football and in life

If they say kill everybody, the fans of Salah will likely beg more than the fans of Antony

2 wrongs don't make a right. You are already sounding like someone who can participate in jungle justice.

I watched one of the survivors of the Uromi Incident, recounting what happened and their efforts to convince their captors that they were not kidnappers with their gun license and other proofs.

Only a wicked soul would fault the Governor's move, just because he won't be affected when the other side reacts and kill innocent Southerners stupidly too.

It's not difficult to figure out your evil stance.

Instead of blaming your Governors who collect huge sums monthly as security votes and falling short in their duties, you are beating the drum of war, so that you can later blame Tinubu/APC when things escalate in multiple proportions.

You Obidients clearly traverse with hypocrisy.

Swap Edo Governor and his action with Obi, all we would be seeing is, ''Obi is a peace lover''. "Obi knows how to calm tensed nerves" etc.

The truth is we will never know for sure. A lot of what ifs but overall, i think we have lost more than we have benefitted. That is a debate for another day though.

You’re right💯
I don’t understand why we can’t come to accept the truth that this contraption isn’t working for anybody and go our separate ways(maybe due to polithiefians being what they are)

That insecurity and senseless killings is just so crazy cause there’s a part in this place where I am currently that they’ll tell you not stay even if you we’re unfortunately posted around there cause they can start their violence and they won’t even bother to know if you’re just a stranger in that land

Some even say diversity is our strength but that statement is another fabu cause what’s the essence of the diversity when some people don’t believe in live and let’s live

Well done, Governor Monday.

Bro, most of these northerners don’t see southerners as humans at all. Or how should I even put it, they feel their lives are more special. If you see what they’re posting on x/twitter you’ll lose any form of sympathy you had for the people that were killed in edo recently. Let the reverse be the case and you’ll see how same northerners will be singing a different tune.
We shouldn’t reward wickedness and inhumanity with kindness. Inhumanity should be matched with equal inhumane tactics. We have allowed these mfs play with southern lives for too long.
Bros, I understand you.

But I am first a human being before I am Igbo, or a Southerner or a Nigerian. What is bad is bad, and there should be no justification for why these guys should die. There's nothing to compare here. It's a very terrible and regrettable incident.

Secondly, the issue with the double standard-ness is not a Northern problem. It is a Southern problem.

The person that swore to protect the Southern people are Southern governors. When a Fulani herdsman kills innocent people, what exactly do they say? Nothing.

They have no strict laws to implement sanity in our states. When people die, they move about to other issues.

You cannot be angry that the Northern Governors are not concerned about a Southerner dying, when your own Southern governor will not even say a word. Of all the killing in Uromi, what did Edo governor do or say? But we want Kano state governor to talk?

My own stance is that the events of today can make one crave for jungle justice, and we should know when not to cross that line. No one deserves to die brutally, over nothing.

Beating the drum of war for saying him visiting Kano is doing too much, securities are already on the matter and he should focus on governance.....

To be honest, I can’t like Izzous post enough. Today, it’s the hunters from the North; tomorrow, it could be an Edo man from another village or local government area.

Anytime I read some opinions on here, I just shake my head. I believe most people have never experienced close-to-death situations or seen/experienced tribal wars firsthand. Anyone who lived through the famous Warri wars in the '90s, or those who attended university in the '90s and early 2000s, would know how quickly things can change for the worse.

Nigeria is a unique country where people are generally lowkey wicked by default, or maybe na the ongoing hardships naim dey bring out the worst in people because this issue goes beyond north or south, but the characters of the people in Naija. Even individuals aren’t safe from people in their own state or region, as they might belong to a different tribe or family.

For example, I remember a bad experience from the late '90s. I was with my two older brothers and a driver, driving through one of the villages in the Isoko part of Delta State, heading to an event in another village when our vehicle was stopped by unruly youths protesting an ongoing issue in their town. They surrounded our vehicle, and someone was screaming to burn it down. Unfortunately, none of us spoke Isoko, and these people were already using things to smash the vehicle. To cut a long story short, God helped us reach our destination safely, but we had to take a longer route back to Warri.

While I understand the people’s anger, jungle justice is a no-go for me.

Until e reach your turn or any member of your family naim una go understand wetin dey sup!

May God not allow Nigeria to happen to us all!

You and the usual people have been shouting Fulani, Fulani for 2 days now without checking simple stuff. For your information, before Fulani herdsmen arrive your village, they have already ransacked 100 Hausa villages in the North. A Hausa herdsman has never ransacked your village so stop wallowing in ignorance.
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by chrisooblog: 9:38am On Apr 01, 2025
I'm surprised at how some posters are actually vexed that the Edo State Governor took such a proactive approach to calm frayed nerves. An action that will most probably save the lives and properties of thousands of Southerners living in the North.

I've seen so many times in the past how these things go down in the past no to see how wise the Governor was in taking the action he did.

That's not to say he shouldn't be held accountable if he didn't do enough security wise to prevent the deaths of Uromi indigenes at the hands of kidnappers in the past.

Deborah that was killed in Sokoto the Governor then didn't do anything.

The Aluu lynchings was a particularly bad experience. Young men killed in their prime for being in the wrong place and time.
