I still don't understand why African women change their surnames. It is not an African culture but many of them don't even know what they are doing. It is African culture they think is backward while European or American culture they think is woke is the one that will maltreat them and mislead them.

You are the child of your father and your family name is intact. If you divorce him, there is a way to go around it but you do not take his name. No be your husband born you or own you.
