An unreserved apology from the Governor of Edo on behalf of the good people of his state to relatives of the 16 Hausa hunters brutally lynched and murdered by a mob in Uromi has now opened the floodgates of insults on the governor from the usual obidient mob.

Do these obidient lunatics expect the governor to clap for the lynch mob that acted on their own ignorance and misplaced prejudice to murder those 16 Hausa hunters ?

Every normal sane human being will condemn the barbaric act and will not resort to whataboutism when commenting on this senseless killings.

These late Hausa hunters are even part of the vigilante in the north that are the first line of defense against the dreaded Fulani bandits and other radical Islamist terrorist groups terrorising the country.

The same Obidient mob are now cajoling the Edo people to double down on a gross crime.

I agree with you that the governor did nothing wrong ( he even showed himself capable of statemanship there, and exceeded my expectations, especially since i was dissapointed with the results of the election and never thought he was competent enough..)...but the problem is, for over 12 years we have had an ongoing fulani and cattle herder crisis which the party in power hasn't done much about.

Even the current president...before he became president, once made an insensitve comment or at least a comment that may have been perceived as insensitive...when he barked about where the cows are.

The anger and even the lynching, as well as the silly misinformation and whataboutisim that have arisen over the crisis (they sound similar to a comment made by a Northern muslim journalist when commenting on the murder of a yourba teacher for desecrating the Koran spent 3-4 paragraphs screaming about Zinonism and Palestine and the US INVASION of Iraq...like WTF. ?)..is basically as a result of the failure of the government to deal appropriately with the crisis.

NOw, the people who did the killing are to blame, and then there is a discussion about the fact that Nigerians don't like going to the police . But there is also the issue of fulani herdsmen getting away with killings (and the issue of farmers too getting away with killings of cows and fulanis)....and our government needs to sit up and urgently do something.
