obedience4:Joseph Stalin was devil incarnate. May his soul rot in hell. The Soviet people didn't even like him. If not for the holocaust I would have said Stalin was more evil than Hitler. Both of them are in the same rank sef |

obedience4:I like how you think Ethically speaking he's both, just like every US president. Stalin was also an ultra nationalist, he believed in the massive industrialization of the Union or else communism might lose to it capitalist neighbors. The man of steel was also very instrumental at the defeat of the Nazi Germany. So yes he ( Stalin ) left a very controversial legacy to the point where after his death, the Soviet Union underwent a process called De-Stalinization. |

dermmy:You're very funny bro Chairman Mao killed more people than both Hitler and Stalin combined. The funny thing is that he's still much revered in the Chinese society. |

obedience4:Nope.. The UK, France, Germany and Italy were the first to Balkanize Europe in 1938 Munich Agreement. Russia concluded her own agreement with Hitler the following year |

Everyone feel say them good. USA and Russia are both big-time aggressors. It's just that the hypocrisy dey brain-fingering at times. |

usmanpogo:Yes Mao is still very revered in China because he was a revolutionary he alone recruited, trained and armed guerilla fighters that fought against Japanese invaders in China. After the 1949 revolution he expelled Western imperialists who had carved up China among themselves since mid 19th century. He made many mistakes with his Cultural Revolution and Great Leap Forward. He is the father of modern China. Mao to me still has good legacies compared to Hitler and Stalin. |

jjj37:Who be this one? I have never at anytime begged anyone for anything. Come, what gives you the impression that you're anywhere or anything close to who and what I am? Shey na play? Somebody just went to my Facebook and brought a picture of me from a post I made from my grandma's poultry farm which I've worked upon for about a week and a few days. Something that happened two years ago o. Then you really think that's what defines me? You must be really airheaded sha. So petty. And to think that you even have the nerves to assume that I need any form of tutoring from you πππ. Jesus this is the height of it. |

obedience4:You don't just get it, do you? Poland is helping Ukraine because according to their foreign policy objectives, Russia is their common enemy.. i.e the enemy of my enemy is my friend. Polish Ukrainian relations is not a smooth one according to the screen shots you posted. Which obviously align with my position. It says there's a "major irritant in their relation"...and they hope to break the standstill they have in that issue. https://apnews.com/article/poland-ukraine-exhumations-8745207dc4fc4d55d339a1e6dcb414ff

usmanpogo:Yo the reason why I asked about Stalin is because, tagging someone a hero is subjective.. Stepan Bandera was actually instrumental in the first fight for Ukraine independence from the Soviet.. The nazis invading the Soviet Union was the perfect opportunity for him and his supporters of his of the Organisation of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN) to fight against Soviet Union occupation.. He formed Ukrainian National Committee which announced the ever first creation of a Ukrainian state.. even though the Ukrainian state was short lived as the Soviet later prevailed he was instrumental to the very first independent Ukrainian entity.. One thing we can't take from Bandera was he wanted an independent Ukrainian state, his fight for an independent Ukraine resonate with lots of Ukrainians expecially with Russia invasion of Ukraine.. They are bound to be people/politicians who supported his fight for an independent Ukraine.. All this are not say he was a good man, under his watch a lot of atrocities was carried out. The same thing applies to ojukwu many igbos share in the sentiment that he was a freedom fighter a nationalist who wanted independence for his people, The biafra military committed a lot of atrocities during the war under his command.. While others may tag him a coward, successionist, while some see him as a hero who fought for his people. While some igbos may hate him as his decision brought untold hardship on the region, others may tag him hero, and his nationalist views have inspired the likes of kanu and that guy from Finland.. So you tagging someone a Nazi a hero is subjective.. |

OkpaNsukkaisBae:Is there any country whose relationship is smooth Japan and South Korea are two major US allies they still have issues till tomorrow over japan's atrocities in Ww2..Do that make them any less allies?? The only issue was the exhumation of poles who were buried in Ukraine, which Zelensky accepted. And that's settled.. the way you started your conversation was that's Poland was blocking Ukraine membership into the EU which is false.. they had issues which Zelensky has settled which was the movement of poles buried in Ukraine to Poland.. |

usmanpogo:Chairman Mao a mass murderer extraordinaire.. They are school of thoughts in China that believes the killings by Mao was a necessary evil to make free China from foreign occupation.. Countries each have there own definition of what a hero is |

Many people on this forum are mere teenagers. I'm watching these guys debate obvious things, make obvious mistakes and discover things I've known for more than 20 years. Yet they still think they are at my level. π Sometimes the smart thing to do is to ignore the kids and let them grow at their own speed while you keep your intellect going. |

obedience4:Stop trying to whitewash Stephan Bandera atrocious past, from your write-up you only highlighted the fact that he fought for Ukrainian independence but you left out the part where he killed Jews, Poles and gypsies. Wow you're really good, I bet you can make Hitler look like Jesus with the right motivation. |

obedience4:The difference is that the Japanese government does not celebrate nor do they rename public infrastructures with the name of those who committed these atrocities against the Koreans and Chinese. It doesn't even end with exhumation. Their families and descendants deserve financial restitution. As of 2023/2024 Germany were still paying war indemnity/reparation to Israel because of Holocaust. usmanpogo:Stalin killed thousands he is called a hero in Russia Moa killed Millions yet he is worshipping in China. All am trying to bring out is the sentiment on why some people In Ukraine would be affectionate to him, A president gave him the title "hero of Ukraine" that's one of the highest recognition in Ukraine. The same you highlighted the man of steel, massive industrialization of the Soviet Union as a plus to his credentials, is the same way I try to highlight badera independence fight.. Like I said earlier all our opinions are subjective, Stalin and bandera are love by some and hated by others. |
