Security Forces Foil Bandits’ Attack in Sokoto by TraigCraig(op): 2:55pm On Apr 02, 2025
Security forces have successfully repelled an attack by approximately 90 armed bandits on Tozai village in Isa Local Government Area of Sokoto State, PRNigeria learnt.

The assailants, who according to Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency expert, arrived on motorcycles, were engaged in a fierce gun battle by a joint military-police team, forcing them to retreat.

However, during the exchange of fire, 35-year-old Sule Ummaru was tragically struck by a stray bullet while attempting to flee. He was rushed to General Hospital Isa but later succumbed to his injuries. Security operatives have since intensified patrols in the area to prevent further incursions.

Meanwhile, in Lagos State, police rescued four kidnapped victims and arrested their captors in a daring operation at Oke Aro, a border community between Lagos and Ogun states.

The breakthrough came after a victim, Okorie Henry, tricked his abductors into believing he needed to withdraw ransom money before escaping and alerting the Iju Police Division.

As a result, a tactical team stormed the kidnappers’ hideout, freeing Otoh Chisom (20), Okeke Kwufrochukwu (26), Uchenna Obeji (26), and 12-year-old Minachi Udochukwu.

Four suspects—Chibike Iheijika (23), Stanley Iheijika (22), Obiora Oyedibe (26), and Emmanuel Onedibe (25)—were arrested as investigations continue to dismantle the criminal network.

Whether the news is true or not all criminals caught in the act of armed robbers, kidnapping or killing should be shot at sight. Any of them who is committing the crime outside his region should be shot in the balls first before any other thing

Are they not aware that kidnapping cannot thrive in Lagos? It is always difficult to carry out successful kidnapping in Lagos.

Op posted the news as though there was a gang of bandits in Lagos led by Igbos but these are kidnappers and not some gang of bandits.

And he will not mention that all their victims are Igbos.

You are posting the news as if Igbos are out to attack Yorubas in Lagos.

You people should give up on this stupid propaganda.

gringrin The headline appears as if the bandits were Igbos, only to see that it is two different news stories combined as one.

ComradeKunle:
This is tribalism to mention their names.
but if it's Fulani names it isn't tribalism.

You see , this is how Jewish media claimed that mentioning race and nationalism of criminal suspects was racist .

They even made sure the FBI stopped releasing their race and crime stats.

Over in Europe, same Jews ensured that the race and legal status of arrested migrants was never mentioned.

You should ask why .

Criminal psychopaths are true to form. The crime committed is unimportant just the protection of the criminals.

Did anything in my comment suggest that I’m supporting the criminal kidnappers?

The only thing I am against is the sensationalism that the OP is trying to bring to the report to make it look like Igbos are forming banditry gang in Lagos.
