The experience is a nightmare that is why most importer prefer to use Lagos

Diversity is key let ports and other companies relocate to other states with wider roads,Lagos traffic will be greatly reduced with pollution but No. They play politics
I disagree. PH was like that until Wike came and changed it. He built multiple roads and bridges, and traffic disappeared.
What Lagos needs is multiple access roads. We have just 2 bridges linking Ikoyi to VI. Thats an anomaly. If is Abuja, you will have nothing less than 5 of such. Lagos State Government are very poor on road infrastructure and it takes them forever to finish. If it was Wike, he would have reconstructed Ozumba Mbadiwe from Bonny Camp to Epe, to a 10 -12 lane road & from start to finish won't take him one year. Lagos govt will take 10 yrs to build it. Wike has done longer wider stretch of such roads in Abuja in less than a year, and Abuja is now zero traffic

My wife literally saved me from yesterday's gridlock.

She was on her way to Idumota market to buy stuff, she saw a mammoth crowd of people stranded at the bus stop. Upon enquiry, she realized there's a serious traffic waiting ahead.

Hanty didn't even waste time, she did a 360 and quickly called me on phone to stay put. I put a call across to our Admin and she confirmed it. Why she didn't inform us remained a mystery to me. huh huh

After that yesterday, my love for her increased by 0.5%. cheesy cheesy

The bridge over the five cowries creek, linking Bonny camp to Onikan stadium
Damn! How will they close such a vital bridge. Very short bridge but very vital to flow of traffic into Victoria island.

I'm curious to know what the experience is like. I always hear people say what that guy say, but I know there are functioning ports in other parts of the country, and I wonder why people don't use them.

Traffic was terrible yesterday , I drove from Main land Apapa Oworosoki Express road to Marina to Lekki phase 1 through Ikoyi link bridge back to VI . I spent 10hours inside traffic very bad and painful . Fuel finished inside my car , I have to push car from Lekki Ikoyi link bridge to the Lekki round about and use keg to buy fuel from AP at Lekki round about .

Most painful aspect of it is that Lasma and police ran away from road as early as 3pm .
Through my journey of 10hour I do not see single Lasma neither police to assist people.
A times you can be inside stand still traffic for one hour without moving at all .

I want to call on Federal Ministry of Work and Lagos state government to have proper planning before embark on this kind magnificent work . They would have collaborate with police , and other relevant agent to cushing this effect instead of allowing citizen to suffer yesterday .

I have not recovered from the stress till this moment .

Although they have reopen the bridge after allow citizen to waste time and resource .

What a tried and error government .....

Let burrow the word of Madam Jonathan ...
there is God ooooooooooo

I witnessed first hand the cost of living a country with inept and worthless leaders spiced with civil servants without common sense.

What happened yesterday is a physical demonstration how these people mismanaged the whole country.

If they could cause so much misery to to fix a bridge that was fix about 5 years ago , if they had to build another bridge , they will drive all residents into Cotonou.

That controller of works and her minister deserves stiff punishment for shutting down the entire lagos Island for 2 days , destructive , slow people ..........this is how incompetent people end up playing with our lives

Got home 6am seeing so many breakdowns and accidents and just frustrated people ...the speed cameras also picking my no on the way ........These civil servants are from Hell!

There are functioning sea ports in Calabar and Port Harcourt.

You should be asking yourself why people don't like to use them undecided
