The governor also apologised to residents for the gridlock experienced due to the rehabilitation of the bridge.

That's not how my Lagos State works. Ordinary pedestrian bridge hold up at Oshodi attracted immediate attention of the state government with profuse apologies on same day it was reported. This is not different.

Gov. Sanwo Ilu relationship with Mr President is becoming irredeemable.
A phone call by Mr President to the Governor passing instruction to him on the need for the bridge to be repen, would have been better.
Instead of bypassing the Governor of a State, giving order to your Minister to counter the order of a Governor, is a disrespect to the office and authority of the Governor.
All the same, is a pointer that the Governor and Mr President are not in good terms.
