But they did not give me visa appointment and my course is not offered online .. that’s why I have been deferring .

Yes is problem. You must have your enrollment letter to show that you are going to attend or are attending. You can go ahead with the interview and submit this later. That is what I did

how did you tell them you will summit later I.e the enrollment letter . because that is what I am currently on now ..

That's why they've been granting people the option to defer to a later date for appointment if your documents are not complete.

How are my documents not complete when I had a successful interview.. Mr Paulinus will never allow u inside without a complete document.. please do you think the certificate to show my study place has been secured work? because my school can’t enroll me now ..pls I really need a suggestion.

My birth certificate is laminated and it was accepted. I personally do not think it'll be a problem if the other documents are laminated.

Your documents' completeness regarding authenticity and validity is determined by the VO, not Mr Paulinus. For over two months now, we've had cases of about 6 people who had outdated documents and they passed Mr. Paulinus(He just wanna see admission letter), but the embassy mailed them just as they did to you, and some of them were asked to go and reapply while I also know two that got a rejection too.

For your case, I've given you the best suggestion in my second bullet point from the previous replies. Message the embassy and explain that it is still valid for winter 2025/2026. If you must get an updated admission letter from your school, please do. As it stands, you won't get approved if your admission is not showing the following:

1. Summer 2025 with enrolment
2. Winter 2025

Yes, July 22 2023 got AD for April 29th 2025

Most times it's not necessary but it would be your advantage.

Sure i can do that. Over the years i've worked in many places as a working student Telekom, Daimler[Mercedes-Benz]... The one most preferred is to get a Werkstudent[Working Student] Contract with it you get more money[>750€], experience and almost a direct position in the company after study.. But if that is not possible you can work in the following sectors and earn at least 450 - 520€.

:: - As a sales person for maybe a Backery
:: - Logistics
:: - For Amazon in their Logistics
:: - Even at your University
and many more..

Personally i would advise to work where you will get what will cover most of your expenses ie House/Feeding and focus on your studies.

During semester break you can work for big companies like Audi, Mercedess-Benz and co. and earn a lot to refill your bank account before the next semester starts.

Contact your School and ask for a deferment or partial refund of your semester fee especially the transportation ticket if your physical unavailable for studies. Also search for scholarships to hasten your Visa process

To an extent, this pattern doesn’t make any sense because everyday , people are booking with the old system and they are valid, going by that, the appointments booked with the old system will be inexhaustible unless there’s something I don’t know and I would like to be corrected. Thanks.

Nobody is booking through the old system anymore. They removed it in February.

There's no more link for booking with the old system for more than a month now.

Hi guys please I need clarification on this new method of visa application, unlike the old one where people join the queue before admission letter, this requires you to upload everything at a go, the admission letter, accommodation and all about sponsorship, does it mean after getting all these one still joins the queue of over two years? What happens when you can’t defer anymore, or it’s even time to graduate and no appointment, how about the accommodation?
Or is there something I don’t know about joining the queue in this new portal without these documents?

Most of what you mentioned are not a most when you are on waiting list…
You will see the compulsory docs there… just upload them and upload others later

Yes. After uploading the compulsory docs and the optional that you have.
System will tell you that you are on the waiting list if you attempt submission.

I’m having this same issue too, I want to book an appointment on the new portal for my brother, but they are requesting for proof of funds confirmation, it wasn’t like that when I applied on the old portal. Please what do you think can be done, is there anyway one can book appointment without uploading proof of livelihoods, or is there a way I can remove it from the necessary document to upload so as to book my appointment

Good day everyone, I am joining the waitlist for appointment date on the consular portal but I have a question, my birth certificate lists three names (e.g., "Chukwuemeka Oladapo Adebayo" but every other document show a shortened version (e.g., "Chukwu Oladapo Adebayo", would this discrepancy cause any issues? the shortened name is a commonly used version of the full name. Has anyone been in this situation?
