It’s not the spirit that is not allowing him to rest, the supposed killer has developed PTSD. That’s what is making him restless.

1. I haven't always lived in Ikorodu, you know. I spent time living in different parts of that country too — experienced different cultures/traditions. And what I came to realize was that the pattern of beliefs and cover-ups was pretty much the same everywhere you went. I didn't need to generalize to realize this myself. Let's leave it at that please...but if anyone from such cultures was here then it's easier. Some Metaphysical and paranormal activities are not easy to explain. It doesn't have it's roots in science so an investigation might not be conclusive.

You might not believe in the presence of spirits but I do cos of a boyhood encounter that left me with an indelible mark till date. Even in medieval Europe, the Roman Catholic church had special monks and priests called Exorcists. It wasn't for fun, they were using unorthodox methods to tackle malevolent presence in humans. Until it was outlawed by Pope Gregory (I think) when it was being abused.
I cannot convince even myself that paranormal activities can be invoked in some cultures but it DOES exist

We've such a tradition in my place. The knife and broom can wipe off a whole lineage if truly someone from such a family is guilty of his death, unless the culprit confesses and certain traditional rites performed.
Otherwise, it'll be from one mysterious and untimely death to the other in such a family, until maybe one of them seeks genuine repentance and total deliverance through The Atoning Blood of Jesus Christ.

Even the children of the married daughters of such family, are not left out!

Though they're gradually relaxing some of these traditions in my place, as a result of expansion of Churches and the gospel of Christ, that centers majorly on forgiveness.

And in this same my place, we DON'T cheat on our husbands. The consequences of doing so could be very disasterous.

Africans have deep rooted cultures, so we should rather learn, ask questions, and/or make further research than doubt whenever we read certain stories on the net.

I lived all my life in Nsukka except for few occasions I lived in Bauchi, Rivers and Enugu town
