cool Lies.
There was no doctor on call for the fight!
And the ref was busy counting when the boxer was on the canvas, taking his last breath
Pls, if you know any boxer friend, advice them NEVER to fight in Ghana. Those guys are completely off it.
Boxing is terrible in Ghana i swear.

That was a heart attack? It was quick.
Cardiac arrest can be more sudden than a heart attack.

You know they are not the same thing, right?

Heart attack is cause by a blockage to the blood vessels in the heart and can be a gradual, painful process, while cardiac arrest is the sudden cessation or erratic beating of the heart.

In the case of total cardiac arrest, the heart stops beating totally. That's most likely what happened to the man.

At 40, why did he keep boxing?

That's pretty old in that sport, forget those exhibition matches by older guys. Those are curated

Peace To The Fallen.

The importance of regular health check can not be over emphasized.

You see the following tests:

D- dimer
Troponin I
Renal function
Liver function
Lipid profile and full blood count

If you can't afford a blood work every 3 months, always ensure you conduct them at least once in 6 months.

Health is wealth!!! 🚦🚦🚦🚦🚦
Non of these tests could have saved him. Ever heard of Brugada syndrome?

Very quick autopsy result. If na here now, it will take months if not years and at the end it can still be inconclusive
Who told you so. Ignorance is a disease.

Autopsy that is done in Nigerian hospitals within days. Depending on the kind of checks may take weeks.

Don’t open mouth and say what you know nothing of.

My surprise is the medical team present could not even do a simple CPR immediately to revive him at least to provide a better chance of recovering.. Africa is still far behind the world oo..

you are mentioning a syndrome and am telling what test can be done for early detection of most pathological conditions in the human body. Troponin I which is a cardiac marker could have easily detected it.

Why don't you shut-up,as you know nothing.

Who goes to have a Troponin-I done for no reason?

Maybe dumbos.

Troponin I should be done in a Hospital and not on a man walking around in the streets

Hello bro.
I understand some of the tests you wrote but can you explain further about the rest?

D- dimer - what is this test for?
Troponin I - And this test?
Renal function - I guess this is kidney
Liver function - I understand this.
Lipid profile and full blood count - this is more cholesterol and blood level.

How can you list these tests and not include what tests they are for?

What's D-dimer, what's Troponin, what's Lipid profile? undecided

We should be asking if a defibrillator was available, it could have helped.

I just gave an example of a disease whose first sign that one has it can be death.
Healthy people with no signs of any disease will not suddenly start undergoing tests - and especially not an apparently healthy and active 40-year-old boxer! See below

Exactly what I said.

If you have taken a red cross firstaid training and watch the video you would have known its a cardiac arrest. And I was disappointed at the doctor for not taking proper measures to save the guys life.

The most delicate organ in the human body is the heart. One slight mistake, you're gone.

This is Nigeria. That's all I'll tell you.
Why would they waste resources doing autopsy on your dad when they can immediately GUESS the cause of death?
There was a guy, autopsy result came out same day - turned out they simply harvested organs!

of course it's heart attack, that's no trainer,if he had done cardiac enzymes during the medical check up,it would have been revealed.

It's unlikely any measures could have saved his life (though it's worth trying). I mean SCD have also occured when doctors were right there on the playing field.
The best thing is prevention - have your heart regularly checked while feeling healthy. But who does that?
