Coming from a glutton that thinks only about food! With all the food you are eating your brain is still not developed to know that news brings knowledge and knowledge brings development. By the way how about those working and earning a living working with VOA? Kids!

Good, only the Hausa version is popular in Nigeria. In the southern part of Nigeria only less than 10% people listen to it.
VON should be scrapped, how many people know the frequency talk less of listening to it.

Trump is a mission. I even supported online thinking he has a clear mission
No, he has no ideology. He just wants to enrich himself and his friends. That's the mission.

As an American who has live almost 80 percent of his life in the US, I know the damage that the orange clown is doing to US interests around the world.

Good for Africa
Maybe the best way to save the vulnerable minds up north from ruthless foreign control.
The riots that followed the Miss World Pegeant under Obasanjos regime, happened as a result of manipulations of stories surrounding the event by the foreign media.. Northerners went berserk and started killing as usual..

The january 1966 coup was termed an igbo coup by the BBC and they went ahead to use the Hausa language to spread that narrative amongst northerners. The rest is history.
China banned all of them for a reason. Maybe God is using trump to do the Lords work..
So which of these stories that you mentioned in paragraph 1 and two are lies. Radio is a means of communication, the did the right thing.
The only foolish thing which Nigeria and other nations that have these kind of aid/Radio/tv that America was financing was the refused to produce and fund their own stuff even while American VOA was functional.
This is one of the difference between smart nations and dull nations. Try to control everything that's true independence

Used to listen to VOA back in the day during my NYSC days in Jakusko 2003 with those small transistor radios..very educative and insightful..

Re: VOA Goes Off Air In Nigeria, Others As Trump's Government Cuts Off Funding by Nobody:
Let's launch a petition to bring back the real Donald Trump.
I think the plastic surgeons, neurosurgeons and ENT surgeons must have finished their work and discharged him (assuming I am right).

I beseech them to retire the supposed Alec Badwin's Donald Trump (assuming I am right). He kept shouting "deal" which inter-alia made it obvious he was copying the real person.

No wonder they 're sounding a 3rd term in America cos it seemed the right Trump was yet to assume office.

I also noticed the fake Trump's White House was different from the real White House.

The real Trump has a full and ballooning cheek while the supposedly fake one has a hollow and chiselled cheek.

Addendum: before you criticize me, let's assume I was right.

1) Trying to portray the miss world contest as a deliberate attack against Islam. n Nigeria was totally wrong. It was that narrative that led to the Islamic riots in Abuja and other places and cost lives. The goal of the foreign mischief makers was to move the contest out of Nigeria and to use the smear campaign to rubbish Nigerias image, and to a large extent, they succeeded.

2) The Jan 1966 coup was nothing but a coup by a set of revolutionary soldiers. The attempt was not to deliberately attack any ethnic group. It was the foreign media houses who painted the coup as such. Infact, history has it that a lot of people were jubilation in the north before the BBC went into action to "defend Britishinterestsin Nigeria" through divide and rule... The definition of the coup as an "ethnic attack" against the north led to a progrom against easterners in the north.and a subsequent war.

No serious nation allows foreign media houses to control thwir news delivery. It is a looming catastrophe to national security.
