If you say naira has value than cedis does that make our economy better than gbana?..The headline says “strongest Currency” and you talk about value..South African Rand is 10 on the list,so is naira more valuable than Rand?..If you take a naira to Ghana and take cedis to Nigeria,which has more value?

You rank currencies based on WHETHER THEY APPRECIATE OR DEPRECIATE AGAINST THE DOLLAR IN THE YEAR/PERIOD UNDER REVIEW. just ranking them based on their nominal value, on if for example 15 cedis = 1 dollar is 'bigger' than say 400 naira=1 dollar is childish and unintelligent

That 15 cedis is actually 15,000 old Ghana cedi. Supposing Ghana just removed 3 zeros instead of 4 in their currency redenomination (and nothing stopped them from doing so), so that 1 dollar=1,500, would it still rank better than the naira? No. Is 1,500 not the same as 15,000 old cedi or 15 new cedi? Is the value not the same?

Should tell you how simplistic these currency rankings are. People should learn to be smart. Bloomberg offers the best currency rankings
