Tinubu, Reps Condemn Plateau Massacres, Vow Justice for Victims

Abuja, Nigeria – President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the House of Representatives have both strongly condemned the recent deadly attacks on communities in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State, which claimed several lives and left many homes in ruins, The Bureau Newspaper report.

The coordinated attacks, reportedly carried out by gunmen, affected communities including Ruwi, Hurti, Tadai, Manguna, Dafo, and Josho, resulting in significant loss of lives, displacement of residents, and widespread destruction of properties.

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu described the killings as “unacceptable and inhumane,” vowing that those responsible would be hunted down and brought to justice.
“These attacks on defenceless citizens are unacceptable. I have directed security agencies to hunt down the attackers, and they will face severe punishment when apprehended,” President Tinubu said.
He extended his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims, the people of Plateau State, and Governor Caleb Mutfwang, urging residents of the affected communities to support law enforcement with credible intelligence that could lead to the apprehension of the perpetrators.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims’ families. No community should have to endure such tragedy. We must all unite to foster peace and reject retaliation,” he added.
In a swift humanitarian response, President Tinubu directed the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) to immediately collaborate with Plateau State authorities to provide relief materials and rehabilitation support to the victims and their communities.

The President further stressed that his administration remains resolute in its commitment to restoring peace and stability across the country, adding that such acts of terror must never be normalized or allowed to continue.

Reps Demand Swift Action Against Killers

Meanwhile, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Dr. Tajudeen Abbas, also issued a stern condemnation of the attacks, describing them as “senseless and barbaric.”

In a statement released through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Musa Krishi, the Speaker lamented the recurring violence in Plateau State and emphasized the urgent need for government intervention to prevent further bloodshed.

“This incident is one too many. Our people have suffered enough. The wanton killings, injuries, and destruction must stop,” Speaker Abbas said.
He extended the House’s condolences to the affected families and the government of Plateau State, while calling on security agencies to accelerate investigations, arrest the attackers, and ensure they face the full weight of the law.

The Speaker warned that allowing such acts of violence to go unpunished would only embolden criminals and deepen the insecurity crisis across the country.

“Impunity must not be allowed to persist. We cannot allow the lives of our citizens to be treated as expendable,” he stated.
The joint outcry by the Executive and Legislative arms of government signals a renewed resolve to confront violent extremism and restore normalcy in troubled regions of the country.

As Nigeria grapples with pockets of violence in various states, the nation watches closely to see how swiftly the promises of justice and relief for the victims of the Bokkos massacre will be actualized.

I think it is high time they apprehended those terrorists killing Jos-Plateau people.

Obviously they are land grabbers and this has to stop.

In 2018, the then vice president, Yemi Osinbajo asked that the villages and lands that Fulani terrorists forcefully took and renamed to Fulani names be returned to the original owners, but nothing happened.

Please read ->> https://thenationonlineng.net/owners-to-get-back-land-forcibly-taken-says-osinbajo/amp/

These terrorists clearly have an agenda and their agenda is to systematically takeover Nigeria Central aka the Middle Belt or North Central.

They have sustained killings in Benue, Southern Kaduna, Jos, Kogi, Niger, Taraba and other parts.

President Tinubu need to wake up and deal decisively with them once and for all.

They are riding on the wings of the Hausas using religion and it's a pity that the Hausas still haven't learned anything over years.

All these is just a systematic way of taking over people's ancestral lands.
Most northern communities that were predominantly christians have already been pushed away.
While ignorant ones keep believing the lies of religious fanatics that they are peaceful.

Fulanis are the root cause of 80% of insecurity in Nigeria today. Bokoharam, bandit and herdsmen are all Fulanis. If you want to end insecurity in Nigeria, just unleash full time military assault on Fulanis accross Nigeria and watch insecurity whittle down. This is the Pareto Principle.

I used to say this too until I saw a recording of how these terrorists attack. It's crazy guy! It's overwhelming. They strike with heavy assault artilleries, shooting sporadically in different directions. I now realized it's impossible to face them without equal fire power. These are the same weapons they sometimes use to over power even military camps.
The people don't stand a chance except they have exceptionally intelligent plans to extirpate them, like ambush, Arial counter-attack, setting up explosives for them etc. But the people lack these experiences.

I wonder why the fulanis are universally bloodthirsty and unrepentant. Sincerely I blame the Brits who merged this contraption and gave them leadership advantage...

Toothless barking. This embrassing and futile vows should stop. Its becoming irritating. Government needs to take action and stop opening mouths like a helpless woman. Protect the people for Christ sake. This is the minimum requirment for a government. The minimum and the sole essence for existence of government.

"I vow, we will ". I pity who put faith in Nigeria government. Arm yourselves. Form security watch groups. Do discrete surveillance and investigation

All promises No corresponding action.

Where are the northern elders and why are they silent now that one of their own have strucked and the innocent lives have been wasted in their evil bid to expand their emirates?

Where is the useless chief of defense staff who couldn't protect his people in southern kaduna?
The recent killing in plateau state was the reason i didn't condemn the killing in edo state because those guys were carrying weapons which were only meant for the men of the armed forces

What if they were not hunters but invaders who has gone to look out for weak villages to unleash their terror upon them when they least expected it?

Now if someone has rounded up this people responsible for the killing in plateau state and wiped them off, their sponsors would have come up with an excuse that they were either hunters or innocent northerners

Nemesis with catch up with all of you one day
