Hello everyone, just a quick update. I got an appointment on, Friday, March 28, I applied June 2, 2023.

I also got my appointment on same date, a quick question please, am I to take the prepaid envelope with me on the date of my interview and submit to them or is it after the interview?

Yes, you have to take it the same day.

Hello Guys, any update with your interview, hope it went well ?

Unfortunately, this place has been too quiet, although alot embassy activities is happening in the background.

Most people have now joined different WhatsApp groups. that on its own isn't bad, but it has deprived others of valuable information. Makes people not to know the different possibilities in different situations, or pitfalls to avoid.

Despite the WhatsApp groups, it would be nice if people still make contributions here. This will help others, months and maybe even years from now to know how to navigate this FRV waka.

Please i need help in getting appointment date for FRV with the embassy. Is there a way to fast track the appointment waiting time?

Also is there a WhatsApp group or telegram I can join to enable me ask questions from people with similar experience. This waiting process is really frustrating

Unfortunately, there is not really anyway to fast track it, to the best of my knowledge. It's just a waiting game. I believe they are currently still in June 2023. If you applied in 2023, then you can already have some hope.

But if you applied in 2025, I think you should rather look for a second country to travel to and then apply from there after 6 months.

Yes, he would need a separate appointment, but you can email the embassy for the two appointments to be the same day. In that way, both of them can go to the embassy the same day, and also properly have the interview the same time.

I got an appointment for a work visa interview in May, but I don't have an employment contract. Can I go for the interview without an employment contract or is there a way I can get an employment contract before 19th May 🙏

Did you check the checklist of the visa category you booked before booking? You don't have a job offer and you applied for a job visa. Lol. You won't even get past Paulinus at the gate

The interview went well. Most of the questions focused on the spouse in Germany. The questionnaire was collected, but the verification fee was not requested, possibly because the spouse holds a Blue Card.

Currently, 2 to 6 months. It started as first-come, served. So as the days go by, the waiting time increases

From what I’ve heard, it shouldn’t take as long as before, hopefully just a couple of weeks. Fingers crossed! I’ll share an update as soon as I have one.

You're blocking it in a German account. You won't access to it until you're in Germany

Just out of curiosity, how did you come to the conclusion that they are in June 2023? My spouse applied in July 2023 and the wait time is driving us crazy.

Cos some people in June got appointments dates recently. Atleast as of last week, they were around 18th of June. They seem to use two months of 2025 to complete a month in 2023. So within the next two months or three, you should get an appointment date.

Thanks. The wait time genuinely sucks and it is sad because even immigration lawyers in Germany can't help fast track it within a reasonable time

I've scrolled through recent discussions here but I can only find information on family reunion visa.

It depends. If you have pre-approval from Germany, everything should last 3 weeks. If not, then it takes more than a year to get an appointment. Blue card application is done online and takes one month approximately.

You should get a decision in 3-4 weeks.
