Am sure you read the part where they said CBN ask them to submit 2 months statement of account as part of the criteria needed to open account with CBN. This statement of account becomes difficult for them to submit bcz there State Governor's are the ones spending the fund and have refuse to release statement of account.

If LG don’t open their accounts, it one or two months from now, Tinubu will stop paying KG funds into any State account he will hold the money and bring it down to Lagos and we will use it for Owambe parties week after week.

E bi like say una think say you get craze for head, Tinubu will show you why he is called JAGABAN the Last Man Standing
If he withholds it, there will be more sufferings within the States, most of the states. And you know there is suffering now that it is still even paid.
The water may spill back on Tinubu as more people will hate him due to the hardship.
Not a good option.

Good!

Does the CBN not know who had been spending the money?

When someone knows that you are a fresh graduate and he promised to get you a job, but he's also asking for 5 years experience, can you honestly say he's sincere?

This is the question we need to ask.

Where are those who accused governor Sim Fubara of not implementing the supreme court ruling immediately after it was received?
The president of the country said Fubara should go and implement the the court ruling, but the federal government under his command hasn't done anything to implement this after 9months of the ruling, isn't this the case of double standard?
The ruling of the supreme court must be obeyed, not minding whose oxen is goured.

Agbegbaorogboye:
But Tinubu was also a state governor
That means he's been part of the biggest problem we have
You need to take your pills.
Is Tinubu a sitting Governor?
Is he part of those blocking the Local government autonomy, is it not under his government as president that the FG has been able to take the issue to court and gotten a judgement.
Are just plain stupid or retarded?

Playing the ostrich as usual
I guess governors started apportioning LG accounts in 2023. Before then govs were saints
Was it not same Tinubu who as gov insisted that LGs are under the purview of the states and states have the right to create as many LGs as they wish and share the allocation among them?
If you are slow or a toddler to not understand issues, there are folks who are seeing Tinubu's hypocrisy in UHD and laughing
As for the bolded question, only you can provide an answer

Can't you see that you have gone madhuh
Tinubu is doing the same thing that you claim is the right thing and you are still angry.
Don't you see that you have gone mad?
The man is giving them autonomy you are angry about ithuh
How can someone be this stewpeed?
Hate is truly a bad thing.
You hate the man so much that even when he does things that you approve of you are still angry....

What are you saying the CBN should do?
Go against their own rules?
Tomorrow the like of you will still blame them for not following rules.
Do you think the governors are not aware of that clause?
If the CBN trys to bend any rule the governors will drag them to court.
That is why some of us are saying the NULGE and ALGON should as a body take the NGF to court.
This is beyond party lines.

When these guys sit at NGF meetings they don't care about party.
The decision to fight the autonomy was taken at Nigerian Governors forum meeting that's why it looks like they are all playing the same tune.
The NULGE and ALGON need to wake up the NULGE should hit them through the Labour unions and threaten strike actions while the ALGON should head to court

Autonomy? Let us even leave Tinbubu's hypocrisy apart do you even know what autonomy means?
A lot of you are bereft of the least modicum of intelligence yet you always come online to make noise
The same Tinubu withheld the allocation of Rivers LGs and just released them recently. Where is your claim of autonomy in that?
The same Tinubu's AGF is fighting Osun state on which of the LG chairs is legal and which isn't. Where is the autonomy in that?
The problem with folks like you is that you're too politically shackled and narrow-minded to see reality even if you were hit with a rock
Tinubu is not giving LG any autonomy. That is exactly the reason why till now they are yet to implement direct transfer of funds to LG
If you had half a brain, you will ask yourself, beyond the noise what autonomy really entails
But a lot of you foools have sold your brain to become hurrah boys for politicians
That's why you just chorus whatever words they put in your mouth without engaging your own brain to see the veracity or otherwise
That's why a clown like you cannot see through Tinubu's hypocrisy and why you foolishly think he's doing you a favour by giving LGs "autonomy"
You're daft. That's just the simple conclusion

Another daft take from the dafto
Can you quote the CBN rule that says you must produce 2 years of audited statement before they can open an account for you?
If the LGs are autonomous, shouldn't they be at liberty to decide if they want to open account with CBN or they want to use commercial banks? You see how stupeed you are now?
Oh ALGON and NULGE suddenly exist? So what is their role in the autonomy Tinubu is giving LGs? Since it was FG that took states to court ab initio, why are you pushing the buck to ALGON and NULGE now? Why can't the FG take the states to court again in your absolutely stupid view?
You see how you enjoy burying your head in the sand like the proverbial ostrich?

Long story short, LG autonomy is dead on arrival, unless people take to the trenches to fight, as per usual in this country.

A sincere FG can force this, easily.

If they can bend rules to get themselves and their cronies elected, why not bend these rules as well?

Re: LG Autonomy: Governors Block Chairmen From Opening CBN Accounts by delpee(f): 10:44pm On Apr 08, 2025
FG should direct CBN to open accounts for each LG and credit their allocations to the accounts instead of crediting joint accounts or whatever name they call it. There's no point waiting for statements of accounts except if the States are mandated to submit same on behalf of the LGs having spent the funds on their behalf. If the LG Chairmen still choose to pander to the governors against their constituents, the masses can take up the battle.
