He is not supposed to be removing subsidy, he is supposed to be focused on removing corruption from all processes (not only in the oil sector) however impossible it seems.

Now the economy and the purchasing power of citizens have tanked to frightening low levels never seen before.

Every sensible depot owner should have sold their business since this time last year. Just look at them arrogantly telling dangote to stop selling to trucks and loading ships only as if they are part owners of his business.

Crude oil price has fallen, it is time for Dangote to buy cheap crude and send all of them out of business.

Empty head, go and read what?, why not go and read why marketers were paid subsidy to import fuel.

You be zombie
Zombies usually have problem with comprehension because that's what makes them zombies
Are you saying we have tank farms in Nigeria because we have subsidy?
Are you saying the US, China, Russia and other serious nations that also have reserve farms have them because they have subsidy?
I am educating you that those tank farms should serve as strategic reserve for Nigeria but as a willing dummy, your dummy credentials depend on not being able to understand anything outside the empty noise you're making
Pity

STFU knob head, you always sound too dumb. With our local refineries functioning, there can never be any energy crisis in the country like we experienced in the past when the country depended on marketers importing fuel & collecting subsidy. You argue a lot but you know nothing.

If after reading what I wrote, you call me agbado, it shows you don't get it.

By Aug 2022, debt service was eating 90% of our government revenue. Subsidy costs were also grossly rising. And smuggling was off the hook...we were supposedly consuming 100 m liters per day, a lot of which went oversease.

Subsidy went, and now....we consume 50m liters, and debt eats some 70% of our revenue, and suddenly everyone wants a refinery licence now...because it is now profitable to refine at home.

I am not a fan of tinubu, I consider him a hypocrite....but the fact is, we were warned about how subsidy was harming our economy as early as the 1980's. Everytime it was suggested we remove it, we kept saying no. Even in 2011, when subsidy costs were three times that of 2010 thanks to high oil prices, and GEJ had to do a partial removal....people still complained. We have been doing partial removal for ages....the problem won't go away.

Subsidy had to go. It is not a matter of APC, PDP, or IMF or china or imperialism. It was, putting it midly, a matter of keeping it and reaching a point in 2027 when we have run out of money, and no one would borrow us again. Infact IMF was refusing to give us money.

Even Obi saying that he would take loans to pay for subsidy...shebi that is what Buhari was doing...and you guys were calling him evil then?

The real problem is Nigeria's government revenue is dependent on oil revenue. Tax revenue per gdp is too low to even pay for N5000 for unemployed youth. That is where the government is failing. Big time. But anything tax is not popular.

I guess US refineries were not functioning in the 70s when they had energy crisis due to the oil embargo from the Saudis
You're daft sir

They had embargo which affected them because they were highly dependent on fuel Importation. When 50% of the fuel you consume is imported, how safe are you?. Guy, try dey use your brain and learn, everything no be gra gra.

What a dummy!!
The oil embargo was a ban on selling crude oil to the US by Arab gulf countries not fuel
I hope you can spot the difference between the two
And I hope you will not be so dumb to say we have oil because we can't even supply our own refineries the crude oil they need unlike the US that actually can and were still affected by the embargo
Now run along. I've schooled you enough for today you dullard

You're very dumb, even if it was a ban on crude oil, can they refine without sufficient crude oil supply?. you dimwit.

You must be very dumb, why would US not experience energy crisis when 50% whether crude oil or refined fuel depended on Importation?. Why were Nigerians a few months ago were queuing at the filling stations, waiting for marketers to supply fuel.

SO what did you think was the rational behind a body who is tasked in producing petroleum products importing the said petrol, huh huh
The ask yourself this simple question, where is NNPC landing petrol from below N1k

I have backed my claim with evidence, Since you cannot see or understand me let me make it plane. there is no country in the world which any importer NNPCL inclusive can land Petrol from less than N1k into Nigeria period, if you disagree name one.

Are you talking about Nigeria or "any country", starting with any country and bending it to Nigeria.
Don't u sound confused?

Ok I see the issue is English let me brake it down,
ALL I SAID THERE WAS WHERE IN THE WORLD CAN YOU IMPORT PETROL FROM TO NIGIRIA AT LANDING COST LESS THAN ONE THOUSAND NAIRA.I am sure this is simple enough. Landing cost of petrol is above N1k it is subsidized to make pump prize bellow N1k.FG and NNPC has refused to allow Dangote to sell to us for the simple reason
1 Nigerians will know the true cost of petrol
2 The subsidy will truly stop
3 The subsidy fraud will stop.

Your English was not about being complex, you comment was not clear, mixing up words with one another, it was about being clear not being simple.
Last time I checked, Dangote sells fuel in Nigeria for less than #1,000 yet u are telling us Dangote is not allowed to sell fuel to us.
I'm sure u were part of the crew screaming they will monopolize the oil sector for Dangote until the whole fuel saga came up and all of a sudden, Dangote became your poster boy for development and growth.
U still haven't provided any evidence that subsidy is being paid, making assumptions about what u have no idea about is not empirical data that serves as evidence.

When last did you buy petrol from Dangote? Dangote do not have a retail end, NNPCL refused to grant him that licence, He sells Bulk
So basically what you are telling me is all country i n the world will sell petrol to NNPC to import above N1k,SO who pays the difference since they sell less than N1K huh huh huh I don't think you understand what I am trying to say yet arguing. Every country in the world that will sell petrol to NNPC wil do so above N1k,I mean every, So the difference t the end user is paid by subsidy to reduce the landing cost to bellow N1k

Iran is cheap, we do mot import
Angola is cheap we do not import
Libya is cheap we do not import
Venezuela. cost just £02 per litre
Even Egypt is cheap, but at £0.27 xN2090
Dangote can afford to sell at bellow Nik cos he was allowed to buy oil with naira. However the Cabals and power that may be are trying to squeeze him by not supplying enough crude. So that they can continue with the subsidy regime.

Provide evidence that NNPC is receiving subsidy, it's that simple, if you have evidence, you won't be typing and typing.
