I went for NYSC registration today. On the portal there is option of you changing your last name to your husband's name or you keeping your father's name. My husband had insisted I adopt his name and I had no option
But I cried I feel I betrayed my father 😭 that man too suffer for us. and the fact that he doesn't have any son make it worse

My husband is not sensitive . When he realized I cried he called me a feminist

Walahi this habit of change name is not Islamical neither is it our culture.

I no no wenti I go type again 😭
I have been throwing off balance.
My Papa get good name that people recognize and you can predict where I'm from with my father's name. I feel Lost

You feel lost because you do not believe that your marriage will make you proud. You feel lost because you believe that your life before marriage was better than the life you have in the marriage. You feel lost because you are proud of your father's name and ashamed of your husband's name.

Be sincere here, will you encourage your daughter-in-law to not take your son's name?

You are wrong.you don't know how bless I'm to be married to my husband.
The problem is that I had had my father name for decades.some don't even know my name they call me by my father name
