Punks match was a finisher fest which was what I said in this thread.
My issue with Ospreay matches in general is that they go way too long pass the finish thus feel like an anime battle masquerading as a wrestling match.
The steel cage was barely a factor.

I agree. I just loved it for it's physicality and storytelling. I've got to watch out for Kyle Fletcher. WWE needs to take notes. Their style can be too soft at times.

you and I know that's not his wrestling works. Remember what Cena did when Randy attacked his dad. Why is the rule changing all of a sudden? It's making the guys look weak and stupid.

That's my interpretation.

He never thought he was good enough to beat Gunther. He was even afraid but now that Gunther has basically done his worst, he is saving up all that rage for the WrestleMania match because taking the title is the best revenge against someone like Gunther. And it would mean Jimmy didn't die in vain.

It's classic storytelling. Reminds me of the final book of the first Mistborn trilogy. Basically, the protagonist's husband is killed by the bad guy during the final act and that's when she realizes that she has nothing else to lose and guess for a full kamikaze attack, killing them both.

Basically, Gunther just inadvertently put Jey in the right mindset to beat him.

Asides the booking, another reason it feels meh is the date. Wrestlemania used to be held in first week of April,this year it's almost at the end. It all just feels like filler until we get there.

True, ironically more time should equal more build but this one just feels all rushed and put together at the last minute despite all the time they had to plan for stuff.
