I have spent over 200k in a month fixing my car. If it's not engine, it's cranshaft or cranshaft sensor. Just changed tyres this afternoon. Got a trip on bolt to ajah for 16k. Another from Ajah to Anthony village 17500. I don dey happy say the day is going well until tyre kpafuka. 50k don go for tyre and alignment.

Don't get it twisted....people are making millions in this same hustle 😊

in essence, you're actually making money but your bad car is the one taking most of it, someone using a very sound car won't experience what you're experiencing.

You have a point here.

When you start ehailing, if your car is not in next to perfect condition, you will spend money on repairs till you get to a point and its all good, but usually by then, you loose interest and quit the hussle, only to sell off the car when all has been fixed to your mechanic. Lol. Kazeem sabi give that kind advice well well.
Maintenance and buying of original parts is the key, but if you like mainland trips, na oyo you dey, you go fix car tire.

I still have extra set of tyres, waiting for the rear tyres to go bad.

I spend 85k for 5w20 synthetic and 10k for Bosch oil filter that will last me 15,000 miles.

I spend with pride on my sedan cos I know what it generates.

My SUV Sits at home year in and out. Only goes out for offline. Yet I dont spend on it like my daily driver sedan. (Mind you, it generated 600k in January alone at zero maintenance).

If you are making over 1M monthly, spending less than 200k on your car shouldn't bulge you.

can you advise me to switch to 5w-30 synthetic oil after using the 20w-50 for like 1 year now, car is camry 04.


tho, the 20w-50 doesn't short oil, I just feel the need to switch to the recommended oil if there will be no side effect to the engine.

Heard cars were not allowed to enter or go out of banana due to the protest against the demolition of their club. So it caused serious traffic on Alexander to link bridge and other surrounding areas

wow nice return, what car do you use if i may ask? engine size year and was it a tokunbo purchase or Nigeria use...i'm curious to also know how often one can replicate such return i reside in lagos.

TRAFFIC ALERT
We're advising residents and commuters of significant traffic disruption on the Lekki Ikoyi Link Bridge. A 40ft container-laden trailer crashed into the height barrier last night, causing substantial damage.

Current Situation
- The inbound Ikoyi lane remains partially blocked by:
- The fallen height barrier
- Other damaged gantry parts
- The stuck trailer (cannot be towed)
- A crane or HD Hiab is required to clear the debris and recover the trailer

Impact on Traffic
- As of this morning, there is no vehicular movement from Lekki to Ikoyi via the Link Bridge
