For where. I don't understand these people walahi. After reaching out to our partners who responded almost immediately, it's been silence since then. Today I had to personally dispatch another letter highlighting the importance of our participation at the meeting. We even had to speak with a Deputy Minister of the Republic to reach out to the High Commissioner here. Hopefully we get feedback this week.

I'm tired.

No be their fault na. No be as country take be na him make these embassies they misbehave.
In their countries, can their own people apply for visas and it takes this long.
The disrespect is too much.
Everybody just dey do as they like.
There are people I know who applied since Jan 20th at the Lagos center, till now no response.

Someone here was saying the other time that because you signed one document you can not remonstrate your delayed visa processing.

I even advised some of us here to come together and submit a joint letter, everyone just lock up. Na so una go dey una passport go dey embassy for 4 months for tourist visa.

Na wa for Nigerians. You guys should learn to resist things like this because these countries can't take same.

As I learnt sha, the embassy is now under pressure to expedite these pending applications. My only concern is that there "maybe" massive disapproval in cases like this.
South Africa is a very notorious country known for these kind of things, just as they did recently with their "bomb squad" team.

Those waiting shouldn't expect magic to happen, I wish them luck.

My supposed trip for which is applied for the tourist visa on 22nd January was supposed to be on Thursday 10th of April and up until now I haven't received nothing. At this point, I'll just retrieve our passports once I get back to Port Harcourt

You are right that people in these situations should come together to submit petitions or hire a immigration lawyer but I just want to note that it's not a Nigerian problem, South African immigration is just a big mess. I know Brits and Dutch with issues with SA visas too. infact if you go to VFS centre in Jborg, you'd be surprised at the number of people on the queue everytime. I've always used premium for all my applications there not cos I need the convenience but that's the only assurance that you won't spend the entire day there to submit application.
I'm just putting it out there so applicants know it's not about them, their documents or applications, the system is just a mess that SA hasn't been able to sort out for years.
All to best to everyone.

I have been to the vfs offices in Pretoria severally. I have also visited the Johannes Ramakhaose, the HQ of Home affairs in Pretoria on a number of times. Even where visas are usually adjudicated at Jeff Masemona, I have been there. These were all during my time in SA. I can tell you for sure. The South African home affairs has been plagued with corrupt practises over the years, this was where the issue began.

I think the New Man on board is doing alot to fight the elements that has been hampering the progress of the department. I really wish him, well.

In January 2025 , South Africa home affairs had over 300,000 back logged applications and the minister assigned a team , " Bomb Squad" to tackle these applications. You need to see the massive rejection rates within that period. It's really crazy to see that some people still have TRC pending since 3 years in the system.

The Home Affairs is/was a mess for real.

Hello guys. So for some of you that can remember my post last year had same delay applied ending October got my visa second week of January...lol... that delay cost me a lot and now the passport my visa was issued on is expiring June 30th, have renewed it. Am looking at leaving soon, is there a way I can renew or get the visa transfered to the new passport because it says 2 years but the validity was 6months same as the validity of the old passport. The school said I need to be in SA at least 2 month before the visa expires.

Gratitude is key.

I submitted my Tourist application since February 18th, and got Received by Consulate on February 20th.

Well still waiting for updates, next is Friday is going to be make 2 months, a friend i am traveling with submitted a week before mine, on February 12th, he has gotten his today, Aprill 11, but he told me he had to paid someone 400k to fast track, since our travel date is May 4th.

I am still stuck in between hoping they give a decision or just go ahead to try e-visa, and do a recall of my passport should i get the evisa approval. But still hoping anyways.[/quote]

The visa has been monetized.
These are the issues.
The home affairs is very corrupt.
