Foreign investment ... exactly what we want to develop the country ... $1 billion investment ...the largest in Africa ... the Chinese ae doing so because they realize we are truly the Giant of Africa ... or is it because we are the dumbest? As foolish as Nigeria can be, how many Chinese company have really moved us backwards instead of forward, when are we going to learn.
Even a small boy, Ibrahim Traore know better than not engaging China for anything good but old men in Nigeria will want the bad and inferior technology that is cheaper to work for 1 and half years and we go for it again.
How much have China bribed or loan us that we can't disconnect from their communist ideology and get good tech from reliable countries that can move us further than doing the same things over and over again year by year with China monopolies Economy.

Imagine that is now that the US is a full blown trade war with China after realizing years lost and complaining that ripped them off their taxes to pay for cheap substandard products making China one if not the best Economy hub.
China has now or is shifting their market interest the foolish Nigeria to exploit us by which they already have.

I am not saying that investing in Nigeria is wrong, but China should not mine our minerals and export them but should bring their companies here that will utilize this material to finished exportation products only and now we will be in business apart from that, it is exploitation.

By the way alliance with China which is an Ally to Russia who are both Enemies to the United states where did that place us.

Every sane person knows that foreign investors invest their forex in Nigeria to earn more forex which Nigeria don't have but borrow loans from multilateral organizations like World Bank, IMF, AfDB, Afreximbank Chinese Eximbank etc for foreign investors to convert their naira profits to dollars and repatriate back home.

Okay so you don’t want foreign investors, why are our minerals not out of the ground yet? Foreign investors are involved and responsible for getting resources out of the ground in almost every country because capacities differ. Without foreign investors investing first and then employing indigenous people who go through the ranks you may not likely start.

Without the likes of Shell, Mobil, Agip and Chevron investing in our oil sector and training our locals over decades we won’t have the likes of Seplat, Oando, and Aradel today.


You need two major things:

1) Experience/ Technic
2) Finance

Traore happens in an underdeveloped country, we have moved beyond that time .

Nigeria had coups when it was an electorial nation ... and certain practices of the coups are still in place today ... as in the military getting involved in civilian matters. no coup no change.

Do you see the people moving in the direction of us thriving as a nation? ... or moving towards destruction? I see absolutely no sign of people moving towards progress. How long have we been under democratic rulership? ... aren't we getting from bad to worse?
