While the Lagos/Calabar coastal road would be an interesting sight, I have many problems with it:

1) The government should first tidy up federal roads and make them drivable and safe. I've been to many parts of this country, and our federal roads are a deathtrap. Roads should be easily drivable, without senseless potholes.

2) Will this road be completed on time? I have a strong feeling that this road will eventually be a white elephant project that won't be completed in the next 10 years. Investing billions on a long stretch of road while the existing ones are an eyesore is ridiculous to me.

3) Why wasn't this project bid for? Why was it awarded without other construction companies submitting their bid? Sounds very tyrannical and impulsive. For a project this large, and this expensive, there should have been a fair bidding process.

4) Why are we spending so so so much on a road, when we have other more pressing issues? An estimated cost of more than 3tr is to be spent on this road. Why? Why not spend same money on kickstarting 24/7 electricity? Why not invest it in interstate security, so that kidnapping would be a thing of the past? Why not spread the money across other more important projects?

So many questions, so little answers. I have many reservations.

PS: Please respect your family name and don't drag tribalism or stupidity into this. If you wanna argue, engage the use of your brain. Selah

Apart from floating Naira and subsidy removal, can't you see the aggressiveness in projects execution and funding?

Tinubu is not coming for a joke. Giving him eight years, so many things would be put in place. He laid the foundation of the greatness of Lagos. No incompetent person can rule Lagos now. Such a one will ridicule himself.
Let us be watching.

When will the construction for the first latrine start?
How about the first signpost and the first streetlight for the almighty Lagos Calabar Road to infamy?
The level of propaganda associated with this very road should tell you that there is something very sinister about it.

See them, the usual suspects from the East are annoyed at the SS getting projects. Tomorrow now, you beggars will be calling yourselves SE SS.

I don't know which annoys you Igbos more. The fact that Tinubu is actually completing this project, the fact that it is an Ebonyi man doing it or the fact that it benefits the SS.

When they were building the 2nd Niger bridge for the East, did you wicked people ask them to channel the money to mechanised agriculture?

Did you wicked people ask to tidy up all the roads in the East before building the 2nd Niger bridge or it is only when the SS is to benefit from a project that you traitors remember that there are bad roads in Nigeria??

Your statement about roads being bad and this road being constructed makes no sense, this is a new route, a road that saves travel time, and connect south, east, North on a straight line...the governors with so much money should be fixing those roads that passes through their states.

1) Selective Bidding is an exclusive right to the Client.
2) Three trillion in Naira isn't alot of Money for such Magnitude of Work, check smaller jobs been executed by majority of companies in Nigeria and you will be waw.
3) This project is timely and well thought off, and it's economic importance cannot be over emphasise. We only hope for a timely completion.
4) If previous administration have genuinely tackled and area of interest, we would have had other sectors up and running. Our Budget unless their is improvement isn't fit to tackle multiply mega projects.
5) Various federal highways are been remodeled and works are extensively going on, unless you not in terms with reality. Those are roads whose budgets have already been factored out by the ministry. Contract Variation exist and in resolving such , time are been wasted. But that doesn't mean the work haven't been awarded.

This is a key issue that patriots should be concerned about.
Why borrow to build a new road that will take forever to complete when you have most roads in a terrible condition huh

Maybe All Promises Cancelled, APC is not prioritising electricity because they achieved stable, uninterrupted 24/7 supply a decade ago already huh

1United1:
Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, has said the only way the country can have stable electricity is to vote out the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from power in next year’s general election.

Fashola, who gave the counsel while marking his 2,600 days in office at an elaborate ceremony held at the Blue Roof of the Lagos Television premises, said electricity crisis in the country is caused by lack of ideas and insincerity of purpose on the part of Federal Government.

He said,” Yes I agree with you that it is possible to generate electricity and to make sure that everybody in this country has electricity, we have to do the right thing. But you know what, the only way that you and I will have electricity in this country will be to vote out the PDP.
