Tribalism and nepotism gives rise to disharmony among the various ethnicity while the benefitting becomes victims when their kinsmen leaves the office.

It pays and it's a win-win situation when competency takes precedence over tribalism

AMINDA:
How has the North been demystified when Tinubu got 5.6m out of his total 8.3m votes from the North? The North made him President. This is despite splitting their votes four ways between Atiku, Kwankwaso, Tinubu and Obi (Northern minorities). That he chose to be ungrateful is solely on him. You can start talking about demystification when he's able to win re-election without majority of his votes emanating from the North. I hope Southsouth and Southeast will come through for him.
Go and sit down my friend.Tinubu is not ungrateful to the north anything. If there's anything, it's the north that is ungrateful to Tinubu. Tinubu created ministry of livestock for ona, something your idol couldn't do for 8 years he held sway

Are you saying that Kwara state and kogi state are not a part of Northern region, hypocrites of the highest order. It is only convenience that make you accept 19 Northern state but when appointments are not giving to core Northerners you cry marginalization. You all were mute for 8 years when former President Buhari core-Northernized his government the amazing thing about your hypocrisy is that you couldn't even wait for 5 or 6 years before complaining 😁😁😁
Re: 23 Of The 71 Appointments From The North Are Yorubas - Imran Wakili by Parrot69: 2:54pm On Apr 10, 2025
ImpartialGuy:
Nigeria is divided into 3 major protectorates - northern, western and eastern. The east and west lie in the South. So, since the time of Tafawa Belewa, the north can either team up with the east or west to produce a President or Vice President. It is still in practice today.

I think it respects the federal character law that encourages the spread of appointments across the multicultural country. That's why two southerners cannot come together to form a federal government.
So, what should be done? Or are we gonna lie in waste and begin manipulated every cycle??

If he decided to carry nepotism on his head like buhari, then he should be proud of it and not trying to deceive anybody
Come out with your full chest and say "yes I am proud to engage more of yorubas in my government " heaven won't fall.

This country has never been and will never be one. So let's continue with the turn by turn nepotism. Why hiding it.

None of my business though. Even those zombies defending him, we all are in the same boat. None of family members or relatives are part of the government
If the Yoruba are categorised as north, then they deserve it, except they want to realign the categorisation. You can't be counting them only during election.

Tinubu is appointing only SW

Almost all appointments from Kwara and Kogi were handed to Yorubas from that state but cunningly counted as ‘northerners’.

And then talk about the appointments given to other regions and we will be talking about Special Assistant on River Basins. What is that?

You take all important and consequential appointments to Southwest and spread dust to other region and then try to rationalize rubbish.

So una now recognise there are yorubas in Kwara and kogi?? I thought those states are arewa? Wonderful😆

Which wave exactly? A dead ambition that was revived by Tinubu. So are you saying Buhari would have won without Tinubu? Even the slogan was coined in Bourdillon
the question is how many votes does the south west give to Buhari, and how many votes does the northwest give to tinubu. Bring those figures and we shall know who is who.

northerners have 3 regions while South west is only one region. There is no way the south west can outnumber the north except during Tinubu nepotism.

If they are from Kwara or Kogi, then they are Northerners—the same way. Igbo appointments from the South-South are considered SS and not SE appointments.
If you don't like the appointments, hand over Kwara and Kogi states to the SW.

They are hypocrite; the state is only Arewa when the appointments are Fulani Muslims.

Mathematically the percentage of the Yorubas appointed by President Tinubu from both South and the North is 29.8%. Judging by the 3 Major tribe distribution30% is still in place and not out of other. Can we take a look at the Hausa and Igbo statistics in the remaining 70% and see where the truth of the data lies. Those who are laying accusing fingers might be the culprit of this matter

Bringbackmandat:
how many votes Buhari got from the south west?
Why didn't he win the elections he lost before Tinubu came to his rescue. Even Buhari himself, and Wife, mentioned times without number how Tinubu's efforts gave him the Presidency he long yearned for.

To answer your question, he got close to 3.5m votes in the South West. Compare that with the about 350k votes he got in the region in 2011, with Pastor Bakare on the ballot. Subtract those 3m votes from Buhari's and GEJ would have won reelection. It is just common sense and simple mathematics, imagine if Kwakwanso had joined forces with PO, by now, he will be President.

Another example, Rauf Aregbe and Adeleke needed about 3500 votes in the rerun to snatch victory in the 2018 Osun Guber Elections, and the chunk of those votes rested on the influence of Omisore, who contested in the main election but did qualify for the rerun. They both lobbied for his support, and he ended up giving it to Aregbe, act which pushed him over the finish line. So tell me, who made Aregbe win reelection?

What I am trying to say in essence is that, it doesn't matter how many millions of votes you get, if you can't get the majority of the votes cast, you will fail miserably; the exact lot of Buhari pre-2015.
