People seems not to realise that it is the Americans, NOT the Chinese that bears the burden of tariffs.

The over 100% tariffs would be paid by American importers to the US government. So I keep wondering, how are the Chinese punished?

Trump is just so stupid.

Most importantly, the Chinese-US trade is less than 4% of China's GDP. Thats a very small amount. ASEAN is China's largest trading partner, followed by the EU.

The world is larger than the US, and the Chinese will trade with other countries. It is a free world indeed. I bet you, as things unfold, probably at the dawn of this decade, there will be a reformulation of multilateral organisations.

The present multilateral framework doesnt work, and it has been undermined, trampled on and ignored by the very people who claimed to be the guardian of it.

All Trump's rhetorics have undermined international rule base rder they always yap about. It is against WTO rules, and completely unilateral.

I dont think China, Russia, and the true international community (outside the minority west) wants to operate on that system anymore. And after the war in Ukraine is over, the impending reunification of Taiwan has been achieved, then a reformation of global order will naturally kickstart.

What Trump is doing is comparable to a menopausal lady who still thinks she can still bargain like she is still 18 years old. At best, its a comforting delusion, but she is the only deluded one, not the world out there.

What smart people do is that they will hope and pray you give them a justification to deal with you. Like a man who is waiting for his girlfriend to cheat on him, or insult him, and he will use it as an excuse to execute his true intention of chasing her off.

Trump has given China the hammer, nail and sacrificed America as a receiver of China's aggression, and I guarantee you, China will not missed that chance.

Evil will always destroys itself, and that what is America is doing. As far as I am concern, its good news. Let the tariff stays and let us see who wins.
You’re not very bright. This isn’t new, in 1996 Democratic Nancy Pelosi urged the US to do something about China trade due to 34 billion trade deficit. No one listened. In 2007 and again in 2012 Democrats warned again. Then in 2016 Trump put a 10 percent tariff on China. In 2021 Biden added 5 percent more. Now it’s at 125 percent.

Moral of the story, China have been manipulating the trade system. They have tariff the US on a average of 35 percent for the past 40 years. While the US have only averaged 2 percent on China. They destroyed the US economy with mass export into the US, driving businesses out of the country.

I guess the stupid one is you.

US is the world’s largest importer, GDP at 39 percent.

US is China’s largest importer at 500.00 B in revenue. The ASEAN are made up of multiple southeast countries as well as the EU made up of 28 countries that flow the same revenue as one country (US). Not the same.

The US GDP is 13 percent from China, so with China being 4 percent that means the US has the upper hand. China depends on US more duh. The buyer has the power FYI.

You don’t know much about economics. Just sit down.

Why are you insulting me? Did I insult you?

It is your father who is a fool.

It goes both ways. Israel too has repeatedly called for the destruction of Iran. An coold unlike Iran whose threats do not go beyond mullahs screaming on television screens and funding resistance groups standing up to Israel, Israel is actively working on destroying Iran, and is even itching for a direct war spearheaded by the US.

Israel played active roles in the destruction of Syria, Lebanon, and Iraq. Netanyahu himself openly called for the invasion of Iraq before the 2003 war. He also handed weapons to any rebel group willing to topple Assad during the Syrian civil war.

Iran watched all that happen and it knows very well what Israel can do. After the fall of Syria, Nethanyahu had a live message where he called for Iranians to rise up against their leaders. (Nethanyahu used a bit of diplomacy in his speech but his message was clear.)

Israel also calls Jerusalem “Zion,” so I wonder what point you are trying to make here. Religions and ethnic groups will often rename territories after capture and conquest. So it is quite normal that each side would call it whatever name it wants. Israel too, for its part, has renamed many Palestinian territories.

Again, I struggle to see what point you are trying to make here. The US and Israel also call Iran, along with North Korea and Iraq, the “Axis of Evil.” The US also refers to Iran and multiple other countries as "Outposts of tyranny" while Nethanyahu himself as called Iran a "rogue state."

This is just name calling and an attempt to ridicule and delegitimize the enemy. Both sides do it. But somehow, you are okay with it when Israel and the US do it, but it suddenly becomes bad when Iran does it huh

That is false. Iran has always been clear about Israel being an illegitimate state occupying the territory of another state. It is not about jihad or conquest as you claim. Israel’s legitimacy itself has always been in question. It even has its own Wikipedia page: (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legitimacy_of_the_State_of_Israel

Is there any other country in the world whose legitimacy is questioned? Nope. Only Israel. That should tell you something.

Maybe he did long distance learning for his law school.
shoodboi2:
So after four months, all you could do to prove you went for NYSC is a blurry image of NYSC's registration dashboard?

Not your discharge certificate, not your call up letter, but a registration dashboard, and a blurry one at that.

By the time you're ready to prove you graduated from university what will you bring? Your jamb form receipt? Or your post-jamb result?

Scarface, it is not hard to prove you graduated from a university, went to a law school, and completed NYSC. It is not difficult.

And it really isn't something you should spend months gathering evidence for.

And what's the nonsense you're saying about attending law school and doing NYSC at the same time? Law school is a full-time program. You have to live on the campus for the duration of the program.

Your NYSC dashboard claims you're in Edo. But sometimes back, you were bragging to someone here and asking to meetup in Osun. Did you divide yourself between both states?

And talking of law school, there is no law school in Edo or Osun, so you definitely had to be elsewhere for law school.

So if you really attended one, how is it possible that you were on NYSC in one state and attending a full-time law school program in another?

You can clearly see that you are a fool, can't you?

Maybe you should go back to your stealing career because that is the only thing you can do, even though you couldn't do that too properly and was caught 😂

Trade wars may sound patriotic to MAGAs until iPhone, microwave, or their favorite Nike sneakers starts to costs 20% more. With China retaliating, US companies will struggle to absorb costs and push them to the average Joe, and Karen.

⚡US fires Greenland military base chief for 'undermining' Vance.

The commander of the US military base in Greenland has been fired after she reportedly sent an email distancing herself from Vice-President JD Vance's criticism of Denmark.

The US military's Space Operations Command said Colonel Susannah Meyers had been removed from her duties at Pituffik Space Base due to a "loss of confidence in her ability to lead".

Last month, Vance used a trip to the Arctic island to criticise Denmark - of which Greenland is a territory - for not spending more on security in the region, claiming it had "not done a good job" for Greenlanders.

The alleged email, released by a US military news site, told personnel that Vance's comments were "not reflective" of the base.

Following the trip, on 31 March, Col Meyers is reported to have written: "I do not presume to understand current politics, but what I do know is the concerns of the US administration discussed by Vice-President Vance on Friday are not reflective of Pituffik Space Base."

Military.com - which published the email - said the contents had been confirmed as accurate to them by the US Space Force.

Appearing to confirm this was the reason for her firing, chief Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell linked to the Military.com article in a post on X, writing: "Actions [that] undermine the chain of command or to subvert President [Donald] Trump's agenda will not be tolerated at the Department of Defense."

The Space Force's statement announcing Col Meyers' removal on Thursday said that Col Shawn Lee was replacing her.

It added: "Commanders are expected to adhere to the highest standards of conduct, especially as it relates to remaining nonpartisan in the performance of their duties."
