Ilorin is a highly hypocritical city in my experience I must confess.

They claim religious extremists but they are all hypocrites.
They don't know God at all and are given to religious violence.

Unfortunately they don't wake up to tell themselves the Truth and so Ilorin seems not to develop at all.

Ilorin is one of the most lovely place to stay,but those guys too dey diabolical to the core despite been Muslim dominated

I always amazed how the Saraki family with total control of Kwara for almost 30 years since 1979 could not transform that State.
They had absolute control!

I spent 4 years in Ilorin; those were my university days. The place was to a large extent peaceful. Baring strange occurrences, you could predict every day. The cost of living was the most fantastic thing. Food and transportation were easier than ABC. Then with ₦100, you could eat a decent meal. Each drop of the taxi was ₦50. For people like me who are reserved, it was great. Once in a while, we visit the restaurants in the evening for pepper soup and finger foods. We do eatery too. Those were the tail end of my stay there. Campus life was easy, may be a bit boring but interesting. It was sweet. I still have some of the friends I made there. Now I hear the campus is islamised. That's bad for a federal university. The neighborhood is friendly and I sometimes wish I could go see those places again.

This is exactly what I am trying to point out. Majority of students there now are Muslims and that reflected on how campus look now.

I could remember when it was seemingly christian dominated campus, you will be served preaching on and off campus even inside campus buses/taxis lol.

I think during Prof. Oloyede some strict discipline were introduced which seems what security was trying to enforce seeing you which of course not necessarily Islamic.

I'm not even from this state, but my experience here has been nothing short of amazing. Lived Lagos my whole life but I can tell you Ilorin is super good. Peaceful, homely and all that. During the fooolish Emefiele man cash crunch saga, I was walking a long distance one day under the sun without cash, and an Ilorin man on Okada passing by yelled at me. "Why walking under this scorching sun when you could have asked anyone to lift you down the road?" Dude I never met nor see before just put me on his bike and ferried me home that day, just like that. Niggaaas, that's humanity if you asked me. The circumstances in which that happened, it still resonates with me till today. Hardly ever happened to me all the other states I've stayed.

Go to Challenge, the Igbo guys here spsak Yoruba with accent and almost identify completely as Yoruba cos most are born here and live most of their lives here.

Don't be daft, this claim is unfounded 'cos each state has hypocrites and good in them. Do you people expect them to be just saint and angels here? I don't understand.

There's no religion extremism here. It's a total lie. There's huge tolerance between Christians and Muslims. The most beautiful and biggest C&S Church I've seen my whole life situates in Post Office for everyone to see.
