Good day my Nairaland family, my son's health is at stake. He has hernia, he is 6 years when he was 2 years I discovered that one of the balls is bigger than the other and I took him to hospital the doctor said he will collect N80,000 to treat him but he did not mention hernia, he mentioned one science name, I don't have the money.

I took him to a herbal woman, she gave us herb and I paid N6,000 after sometime it came back, I requested for the herb again and treated him after some months it came back again.
I went to another herb woman, she told me it is pile she gave me herb I used it for him, it left and came back again, that is how I have been using different herbs for him for the past 4 years and it is still swollen, it was a month ago a doctor told me that it is hernia and it is only operation we can do to treat it and the bill is N100,000.
His daddy is out of job and has debt on him, we only survive on my work ,I have been trying to get a loan to pay the bill but I don't have the collateral they are asking for, please help me.

Please, help me Nairaland members I have been facing this problem for the past 4 years, I don't want to continue using herb for him so that it will not damage his liver and kidney.
If I can see anybody that can pay in an hospital then I will take him there for the treatment, I will really appreciate it.
I will really appreciate it if I can get a financial assistance to pay for the hospital bill.

The phone number of the doctor is at the back of the paper, if anybody wants to confirm the truth.

I'm sorry it took you so long to realise that the child had hernia. It's true that the only cure for it is an operation. I wish you knew this earlier because you could have saved for it over those 4 years. If left untreated it could kill so continue with those herbal remedies until you are able to find the money for an operation. The best bet is for someone to pay the hospital directly so if you could find an account to pay for the operation then that would help. Anyone willing to help wants to avoid being scammed because some nairalanders have made it their business to come online for every financial issue they have.

Thank you sir, my close families are aware, initially I didn't know it is hernia I was spending money on herb to treat him, it will go and come back it was a month ago I got to know that it is hernia and they told me it can only be treated by operation. I didn't have the experience of hernia, I thought it only happens to adult.

I didn't know it is hernia, I thought it is something herb can cure, it was last month I got to know and they told me that it is only operation that can cure it. Since then I have been trying to get a loan but I don't have the collateral and my mind is not at rest because the herbs can affect his kidney and liver.
My husband is out of job and has debts he is facing, I don't want to wait before things get worst, he also thought the herb will cure it.

I am a woman of 40 years and I have known nairaland since 2008 this boy is my last born. I might have financial challenges in my life, for me to commit suicide I would rather sick for help.
