Those old phones are limited when it comes to the type of modern day tech whatsapp would like to add to its apps. So what they do is, they phase out older phones gradually while also upgrading their apps to fit what the current phones can handle.

Thank you for the question. This is the question I later asked one mumu that I quoted above this comment. The older phones could still update but WhatsApp is probably trying to shed away excessive drags on their system and not ready to entertain complains and perhaps litigations from users operating those old model phones.

Opera and ucweb browser are still working on all phones since 2005, java, symbians, iOS, Android, blackberry etc but I don't understand why na only Whatsapp dey give us problem, all these operating systems I mentioned u can still install opera and ucweb but it has to be the version compatible with ur phone ,
