I have not seen where a hunter will leave bush around his area to travel hundreds of miles to go hunt in another place. Hunters are unique to their locality.
I have not seen a hunter from Oyo travel all the way to enugu to enter one forest claiming he is hunting, neither have I seen an igbo hunter carrying arms all the way to bornu to go and hunt.
While it is not illegal it is unusual.

In the North they have sharia law, states have the right to have laws, we must create laws that protect the people of Edo state.

I have a copy of the Nigerian firearms Act which is actually very old and possibly not fit for modern purpose, I can post it if you want, it makes long rifle with a calibre lower than 0.22 legal to own, shotguns are legal if they are semi automatic, the licence and subject to the approval of the IG and can also be withdrawn.

They should be going after kidnappers, and fighting real crime not making a mockery of what has been daily life for hunters across Nigeria.

The kidnappers must be delighted because with less hunters entering the forests and reserves they'll have the place to themselves and be able to carry out their nefarious acts.

We've been advocating for return of forest guards and forest patrols who do we expect to take the jobs if not the hunters who already have fore knowledge of the forests and bushcraft.

Why can't they hunt in their state
