Most of it was used to buy wood and charcoal to “light up” Rivers. Check the details of what money was spent on and you’ll see “Miscellaneous” and “Sundry” everywhere

I begin to wonder how one man will be this greedy. Someone that's in charge of federal capital territory still want to pocket a whole state. The same antecedent that the president has duly instituted in Lagos state. I begin to wonder if those people that are supporting this man are really alright or something is totally wrong with black race.
Someone is talking about loyalty. The same Wike that loyalty is alien to. Where is GEJ and madam peace in his book of remembrance. Thank God no one can rule forever. Tinubu and Wike may think they are powerful today but tomorrow is pregnant and will surely change equations.
He is awarding contracts just to steal money and some nonentities are applauding him. Is this the way he was working and award contracts when he was governor of Rivers state? A simple statement for the wise.
You are completely off point here.
We are reading about 95% budget implementation for the FCT, you are here blabbering about loyalty, state control, greediness etc, who cares?
You should look for related topic to your write up otherwise your comments seems personal and hypocritical.

Water Scarcity Hits Maitama, Embassies Affected

Tue, 25 Feb 2025

A severe water scarcity has hit the downtown area of Maitama District in the Federal Capital City over the last two weeks, Abuja Metro reports.

I don't understand you. If projects are not awarded what do you expect him to do with the funds? If he's stealing the money then how are the projects funded?
And if projects are not awarded will the Federal capital not look like a rural area?
These projects are also handled by human beings who are paid and money is flowing through them to other service providers.
It's time to change this one way traffic rhetoric everytime.

Idiotic Criminals. Every year, they say they did projects, still yet, people dey suffer like crazy. What a poverty ridden country like Nigeria, needs are projects that will make people afford their basic needs comfortably, food, clothing, shelter, electricity, health and water.
You achieved 95 percent implementation, yet their president is in France to seek Healthcare attention and enjoy better place wey people dey implement real project.
To politicians physical development is developmemt, meanwhile Obi takes a different approach, he focuses on human capital development. I prefer the devrlopment that will empowee the people to take on physical development.

You are simply pained ..

Yes ..weather he awards contract for his own cut isn't the issue... As long as there are results..

Did you bother to question the former minister who awarded his own contracts but there is no single work on ground.. not a single viral news of the former FCT minister commission even a bore hole as his own project in Abuja..here you are acting emotional over a performing politician simply because he supported who you don't support..

Funny how alot of people against this same man loved him when he did his normal rant against Buhari back then..

Leave politics ..these acts come and go ..what you should be bothered about is if he is working or not.

I get your point.

I believe your point was what was been practiced during the Gowon administration where people are sent to specific foreign countries for different study and training and to return back and transfer that knowledge and improve on the physical development of the places or States they find themselves.

But you can see that not much was achieved in such.

So it's better that any government employ a mix of the three strategically and tactically to achieve the desired goals.

Anyways, congratulations for at least announcing the progress report. State governors need to take a cue from you and announce theirs as well and how the funds were spent.

From your write up it's crystal clear that you are the one that seems not to be alright. This is because you can't control what other matured minds/individuals do with their lives.

You are wondering because you are a learner.

They are not necessarily after the money, they are actually trying to maintain control of their political base. It's necessary if you want to remain relevant to make sure your structure is intact and under your control.

I hope you get the gist?

Secondly, you asked if Wike executed projects like this as governor. You seem to be a recent follower of Rivers State trends. Wike was known as Mr Project for your information. I hope you know what that means?
