Making Millions And Billions From Palm Trees Plantation. --- by iniobong888(op): 2:15pm On Apr 01, 2025
**Lagos, 2025**
The streets buzzed with frustration. Fuel prices had tripled overnight. A sack of rice cost ₦80,000. The Naira traded at ₦1,600 to the dollar, and everyone was screaming, “This economy will kill us oo!” Two childhood friends, Mr. Emmanuel and Mr. Charles , sat at a roadside buka, their futures hanging in the balance.

“I’m buying palm seedlings tomorrow,” Mr. Emmanuel said, stirring his pepper soup. “Fifty hectares. It’s time.”

Mr. Charles nearly choked. “Palm trees? You’ll waste four years waiting for profit! Let’s just save dollars. Things have to get better.”

Mr. Emmanuel smiled. “Trees don’t panic. They grow.”

**2035**
The sun blazed over Mr. Emmanuel ’s sprawling plantation, where endless rows of palm trees swayed like green gold. His phone buzzed nonstop—buyers from Europe, Asia, and even America begging for his Crude Palm Oil (CPO), now priced at ₦10,000,000 per ton. A single litre sold for ₦10,000.

But in a cramped Lagos apartment, Mr. Charles stared at his bank app, trembling. His life savings—₦50 million—was now worth $10,000. A bag of rice? ₦200,000. His old Toyota? Worthless. He’d spent a decade waiting for “things to stabilize and for a miracle .” Instead, the Naira had collapsed into confetti.

---

The Irony of Time
While Mr. Charles prayed for miracles, Mr. Emmanuel’s palm trees silently printed money. Every part of those tree sold:
- Palm kernel Shells to factories (₦3 million/month).
- Sludge as fertilizer (₦6 million/month).
- Palm Kernels oil for cosmetics giants (₦10 million/month).

By 2030, Mr. Emmanuel built a refinery. By 2035, his empire churned out Refined Palm Oil (RPO)at ₦15,000/liter. His children drove armored SUVs. His grandchildren’s school fees? Paid in dollars.

Mr. Charles , meanwhile, rationed garri. His “safe” savings had melted like ice in the Sahara.

---

The Math That Never Lies
“Four years is too long!” Mr. Charles had cried in 2025. But Mr. Emmanuel knew: Time bends for those who start.
- 1 hectare = 143 trees = 4.5 tons of CPO/year = ₦45,000,000.
- 50 hectares = ₦2.25 BILLION yearly.( you could start with a few hectares and grow not necessarily 50 hectares )

Nigeria’s palm oil deficit? Still 1.6 million tons. The world was starving for it—biofuels, food, factories. But fools kept waiting for “prices to drop.”

---

**The Ghost of Regret**
One evening, Mr. Charles stood at the edge of Mr. Emmanuel ’s plantation, tears mixing with sweat. “How?” he whispered.

Mr. Emmanuel handed him a coconut. “You thought inflation was the enemy. I realized palm tree was the answer. These trees outlive crises. They don’t care if the Naira crashes or politicians lie. They just… *grow*.”

2025 vs. 2035: Your Choice
In 2025, you’re reading this. The Naira is still falling. Palm seedlings cost ₦3000 to ₦5000 each( depending on the variety and how old). Land is cheap.

But in 2035:
- ₦10,000,000 = 1 ton of CPO.
- ₦1,000,000 = $200.
- You’ll need ₦500,000 just to fill your car’s fuel tank.

Will you be the one laughing in a mansion… or crying in a traffic jam, begging for a loan .

While all businesses involve risk, Mr. Emmanuel can safeguard his well-being by adhering to basic safety protocols and avoiding investments in high-security-risk areas.

I think one of the greatest huddle in palm farming is acquisition of land in a good location.

They're so many people out there working round the clock to scam potential buyers. It's very difficult to trust people in this age and time.

Not everyone will go into oil palm. There are other economic trees we should look into. Kola but, bitter cola, cocoa, citrus fruits , grains etc.
