The same thing I think. The whole tragic nature of her death got a whole lot of sympathizers emotional and trying to imagine what could've been.
The guy is very stupid. The lady made the wrong decision to surprise baby daddy, not husband sef but sending her away, especially with your own child because of another banny is all shades of wrong.

If she arrived late and considering the stress of the journey and for the sake of your own child, he should have camped them somewhere else.. a friend’s or family if he can’t afford a hotel. What am I even saying? Your own child follow come!

His decision makes absolutely no sense. I hope his decision is worth the life of his own blood, if we choose to be indifferent about the baby mama.

God don't care about the enemies of his people children,the earlier so called woke Christians figure this out the better, God was angry with Jewish people because they served idols ,hence why he exiled them ,but promised to bring them (Israel of today).

E get why I no dey argue Bible majority don't understand what they're reading.

But what is wrong with those Benue and Plateau indigenes ffs?..Is it when they're totally wiped out, that they'll think of something to do for themselves..Over 120 bodies across the two states..

Government is obviously not coming to anyone's aid as far as insecurity is concerned so I don't know what they're still waiting for to defend themselves..
I don't think this whole Fulani militia vs Plateau & Benue people matter is as simple as people are looking at it.

To me this is more of an invasion and attempt at land grabbing. It seems all these attacks is to really kill as many people as possible and then drive the few surviving people away from their ancestral land. After a little while, the people who sponsored the genocide will have their own people occupy the land while no one is watching any longer. That is the more reason the federal government and it's security agencies need to take what is happening there serious.

A friend whom we served together that happens to be from Plateau told me back then that is the modus operandi of the Fulanis in their side. Once u accommodate them as nomads rearing cows in your community, they start looking for ways to take over the whole place after sometime. The fact that they don't even build any serious edifice but just tatched huts makes it obvious they have little or noting to lose when the violence begins. Once u burn those huts in retaliation to their attacks, they will go hide in the forests and start invading the town frequently to carry out killings until they make the whole place inhabitable for you.

I don't think the people can do much in defending themselves; there's not much u can do when Ur opponent is bearing automatic machine guns while all u will have access to won't be more than hunting guns.

The government needs to be serious about dealing with any so called herdsmen bearing automatic weapons all in the name of protecting their cows from rustlers. This is the stupid line of reasoning even some elites in the north always put up to justify why a fulani man can beat arms freely and others can't. I watched a video showing a female law maker making a very reckless and fooolish stament that God created the Fulani man to love his cow more than his fellow human being; so he will always do anything it takes to protect his cow. Crazy thing is she made the statement on the floor of the national assembly 🤦‍♂️

I agree with you the guy's decision was rash, but I need to clarify that nowhere in the story flying all over the internet did they mention the time of the day the lady was sent away. It wasn't mentioned if it was late or early in the day.

I also don't know the kind of relationship that existed between the baby mama and the lady. I don't know if he still kept her as potential wife or he has moved on away from her and she's trying to make him stay. Sometimes these things are really really complicated. I will use one of my friend's case for example.

A friend of mine had a child from a lady. They dated for couple of months then she informed him about pregnancy. He told her to terminate , sent her money which she acknowledged and claimed she had done as he suggested.(He didn't want to end up with her because in the course of their few months relationship he noticed she was violent) They didn't have any form of contact for months only for a mutual to both of them when the going was good to see him and tell him his ex-gf is very heavy and will soon be due. It was then he knew she didn't abort.

He then made attempt to see her and during their meeting he confirmed it is still the same pregnancy. She delivered a month after the meeting and he had no choice but to take responsibility since he knew he was the father. He cleared the delivery bill and also organized a naming which took place at his parent's place.

Now where I'm going is my guy had already moved on since they broke up initially and already had another relationship he hoped will lead to marriage. Because he sends money to the baby mama regularly for the upkeep of the baby, the baby mama's mother is nursing the idea of her daughter still ending up with him. Each time he goes to their house to see his baby, she always talks in parables and making suggestive statements. However, my guy and his baby mama knows he's moved on past their old relationship.

Imagine if the baby mama now suddenly shows up at his house with the intention of rekindling their old love despite knowing he has moved on with someone else and he turns her back? I'm sure the baby mama will leave immediately with their child she brought along. It will seem his decision is rash to an outsider who don't really know the complications of their relationship.

PS: I detest the whole baby mama vs baby daddy culture that is now rampant nowadays because it always makes the child suffer.

Shouting “I am a man! I am a man”, no be by cho cho cho, rather the ability of a man to make quality/ sensible decisions in the middle of the most difficult situation. Quality decisions aimed at minimizing the consequences of a mistake.

I see what you are saying. However, no woman wakes up, picks her daughter and travels out of state to her baby daddy’s to rekindle, if they have not been talking. Let me assure you that while there may have been no promises of commitment or even marriage talk from the guy, they (BM and BS) were talking before she travelled out of state with a child to surprise him. Again, not justifying the surprise but let me assure you that the adults (BD and BM) definitely had something going and she figured she could surprise him.

Irrespective of the time they showed up, even if na 7AM, your child just traveled across state with BM to your house unannounced. The smartest thing he should have done was to get them settled/ rested somewhere else not send them back immediately. Call a trusted friend, a family member or get a room for them.

The fool was thinking with his tool because the BM’s unannounced visit don cast the parole with the banny she met at home and he obviously did not want to lose on that end because he may prioritize that relationship to that of his BM. More than likely, the Banny at home was unaware he has a BM/ daughter, otherwise he wouldn’t be that tempered about that visit.

See ehn, even the best OGs have gotten into mix ups like these but the mature ones dey handle am like say nothing happen.

I get you, the daughter should've been enough reason for him to not turn the baby mama away ; you are right he was thinking only about his new woman at that point.

If I happened to be the baby mama's relative, I will also be pained she passed away in the tragic incident resulting from the complicated events that happened earlier in the day.

As regards Ur last paragraph, I feel the OGs in the past that have gotten into such instances may have acted worse but we don't know because none of their actions and inactions led to such tragic loss of life. Do you know that the baba mama could've died in her sleep while he accommodated her and the news we will see on the internet will be " Baba mama dies mysteriously while visting her baby daddy after a long time ". The baby daddy will be arrested and questioned for days by the Nigerian police especially if the family just like this insist they suspect foul play with or without evidence.

What's crazy is how Tinubu was able to align with all our governors last and present.

1999 - 2007: Arc. (Obong) Victor Attah;
2007 - 2015: Chief Godswill Akpabio;
2015 to 2023: Dcn. Udom Emmanuel, and;
2023 - : Pst. Umo Eno.

- Akpabio has a quiet beef with Arc. Attah because the later didn't anoint him as candidate.
- Akpabio and Udom have had a cold war since 2018 when Godswill left the PDP.
- Umo Eno embraced Akpabio in spite of Akpabio's beef with Udom.
- Udom and Umo Eno defer to Vic. Attah as the eldest stateman.
- Umo Eno defers to Akpabio and Udom too.

Tinubu was able to make Udom and Akpabio agree for the first time in years.

All three are powerful men in their three Senatorial Districts. Everyone (and all politicians) listen to Arc. Attah so he was definitely consulted about this move.

It's over, man. APC as an opposition is officially dead in the state. PDP as a contender at the national is dead too at the state level. Backs have been rubbed.

I did not see Udom Emmanuel agreeing to this. He's supposed to be a strong Atiku man.

Darn!
The very reason why you need to start giving kudos to that man, ma main man. This is among the reason I respect him, this uncanny ability of his to unite even the worst of enemies and make them agree to his terms.... grin

If the people try to take law into their hands, the security agents will come for them.

I read about one guy in Benue (I can't recall his name now) who armed his people and formed a local militia to fight back against the Fulani Militia . For years he dealt with them and it was blood for blood on that axis; at some point the Nigerian Army declared him wanted. Much later the state government felt he was getting too powerful and decided to arrange an amnesty for him , arranged for him and his militia to disarm with the promise the government will ensure the people are protected.

The guy and his militia surrendered their weapons and embraced the amnesty program. Guess what? The Nigerian Army came to arrest him in contravention of the amnesty program terms and murdered him in cold blood.

After the guy's death, his people suffered more attacks from the Fulani Militia and it still continues in Benue state in general till date.

Nobody has ever disputed Tinubu's ability to rally friends and foes for a common political cause; not even his staunchest critics. But PYO or Obi would have done a better job handling:

- The Rivers issue without resorting to a ràpe and strangulation of democracy ;

- The fuel subsidy issue as he was suppose to ease into it not jump head first, and;

- The wanton killings and pillaging in the South and Middlebelt by marauding herdsmen unlike our GCFR who banks on intermittent scripted rhetorics with as much meaning as a baby's babble or looks the other way in hopes that the easily distracted victimised Nigerians drown their sorrows in the escapism of VDM's shenanigans or Iyabo Ojo's never-ending televised catfights with other Nollywood actresses.

Tell your man to sit up. The people he governs are dying daily and curse out at the bio-geolocational lottery picks which made them birthed in the +234 code area as I read such admissions on X and Facebook every other day.

The message from the DSS chief saying citizens should protect themselves, an admission of their failure, is premise for unregulated inflow of arms and ammunitions into the country. Even in the US where there's database for these things, it's still a problem, not to mention a country where no such stop-gaps are in place. Calls of that nature are more likely to make a Sudan or Sierra Leone of Nigeria than it is to make it a United States where the citizens feel protected because they're armed.

We'd end up creating a system where strong men like Agwaza move unchecked.

If Nigeria is to allow citizens right to bear arms, it has to be done properly, and not via unguarded statements from the DSS chiefs and Batists looking to absolve their principal of his primary responsibility.
