Personally, I feel a portrait of His Excellency, President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR) should be included on the front page.

Justification for such is that, never a time in history has the country had a leader who supports and welcomes social media criticism. Also, being same time the best we had since independence, it will be a great honor to have his portrait on the front page.

I'm throwing this question to you because it's very important. Every time I ask, "how is Nairaland?" I'm told that it is fine. If I ask what are the challenges I'm told there are none.

So I need to talk to you guys directly about what you think is going on and what you want us to do. I have not had the confidence to make major changes on Nairaland. I have a little confidence now because of AI.

What are your complaints, your challenges, your issues. What are the things that can drive people away and need to be nipped?

Is it accurate to say that more aggressive moderation of toxic posts that are insulting, rude, off topic, ethnically prejudiced, etc) is the most important first step that we need to take to make Nairaland better? Like this post if you agree.

Seun, I came late to this thread but I hope you still see this. Please reactivate the deactive account button and option. I have asked this of you before and I am asking again. Please.

I think it's unfair to cage people on a platform like this, so they can't leave if or when they want to. Most social media platforms give users the option of deactivating/deleting their accounts. It shouldn't be any different on NL, I don't know your reason/reasons for disabling the deactivate option but please bring it back.

Sometimes you just want a clean and permanent break from the distractions and toxicity of social media. And to erase your digital footprints or prevent yourself from creating more footprints through continual use of a platform. I have experienced more peace and mental well being in my life, by staying away from NL for long periods of time. I would like to permanently stay away and not be able to log in, comment or participate on the forum any longer.

We have ramped up the aggressiveness of the anti-spam bot and broadened its mandate. It will in addition to looking out for spam, also look out for violations of rule 1, 2, 3 and other important rules.

oga seun , please what of the duration of banned moniker. Please kindly review the ban to 6 months or 1 years please. Banning a Nairaland username for 10 years is much please. And there should be a room for Appeal too. Kindly review it sir. Thanks 🙏🏻

one of the reason is when there’s spamming of a thread or when there’s much post on a thread. Painful part is the moderator that banned the account didn’t bring content reasons for the banned and the account was banned for 10 years. It was very painful then. I will screenshot the account to you sir. Please kindly review the ban sir. The username doesn’t perpetuate any form of fraud. Kindly review the banning duration sir. I really appreciate your reply here. I was trying to upload the screenshot of the username here but not going through. Oga Seun can you review the port of pictures posting too.
