This Country Will Divide Sooner Than We Expect. by Rich4god(op): 10:08am On Apr 16, 2025
This country will divide sooner than we expect, but it's too bad that we might not divide peacefully.

This division is not because IPOB succeeded in pushing for independence...
It's not because Yoruba nation succeeded...
It's not because arewa group or any other group succeeded on pulling out of Nigeria....

The country will divide because the central and state govt have failed to act on their primary responsibility, which is to secure lives and properties.

We all are seeing how the country is burning, from job to Benue to Enugu to ekiti to Katsina to zamfara etc... killings perpetrated by one particular group of people.

Everyone eyes is opening, and people are beginning to see that govt careless about their situation.

The anger is boiling and the boiling point is fast approaching.

When the people decide to take up arms.

The fight will be the people against the terrorist who may now be supported by army in the guise of trying to respond to the crisis.

This will further anger the people and the govt will lose control, leading to self realisation by every region.

If govt knows what is good for this nation, they should better arrest this insecurity issue before it gets out of hand.... Oh I even forgot, all the govt cares about is their pocket, this is why state of emergency is declared in rivers state, but can't be declared in Plateau or Benue.

Nigeria isn’t just failing.it’s rotting from the inside out. It's crawling toward disintegration, yet somehow clinging to the illusion of unity. Nnamdi Kanu might not just be right; he might have been too mild. What’s unfolding in Plateau and Benue wouldn’t be tolerated in a jungle — because even wild beasts have boundaries. Try that chaos in a zoo and the animals would teach you justice the human way has long abandoned.

We don't need a prophet to tell a reasonable person that we are in the last NIGERIA.
Everything that is due to cause a separation is just falling in place.
My prayer is that we have a peaceful Referendum.

Why are you Yorubas so cold hearted and wicked?

The op raised an important issue that ought to worry every sensible human; be it Nigerian or foreigner. Instead of you guys to focus on suggesting practical ways to solve the skyrocketing insecurity caused by Fulani terrorists disguising as herdsmen going about every state killing vulnerable, defenseless Nigerians in remote areas without pity.

But you rather chose to trivialize the serious topic and even turn it to a tribal attack as usual just because you believe you live in the city and untouchable from the insecurity and carnage. Continue, there are forces that watches over the affairs of men and you Yorubas are gradually upsetting those forces in the name of politics. All you guys care about is grabbing power and using politics to corner Niger Delta crude oil to develop your region, it's fine, time will tell, continue

This benue people might be their karma playing out.

They massacred a lot of easterners trying to escape the 1966 progroms in that axis.

Many who escaped from the north wre cut down there just at the verge of crossing to the east.

This might be their karma playing out

The country will only divide when the North convince Britain it wants to go and can stand on its own..in fact possible breakup can only come when the North push for it....so forget all this preaching!

The way a lot of people get a bonar on NIgeria breaking up, it is getting amusing.

Look boys, Nigeria is not going to break up, because it is not in the interest of NIgerians to break up.

Am sure you will call me unity beggar...hahahahahaha....nonsense. I no dey beg for unity. Nigeria is a contrapition to me. But I know too much of African history to know that once a breakup happens, dog will eat smaller dog. You think that everyone would retire in peace. ? You think that everyone will just go to their tents and farm in peace? Are you dundees living in the 13 th century? Do you effing know that things are bigger than you think?

Sudan and South Sudan dividing was supposed to bring peace to both countries once and for all. Today, South Sudan is on the verge of destruction, Sudan is on the verge of worse destruction. Dividing the country sure brought peace. (And it also shows that religion has nothing to do with it. Am sure the Islamabad crew will come and mention Sudan, but they cannot explain South Sudan...lol.)

Most of you are calling for division because your side did not win election. If your side won now, it would be people that lost that would be shouting secession....

Most of you just want to chop oil money.

Any secession is going to lead to more Nigerias, more contrapitoons held by resources. And hungry for more. Even BIafra was a contraption. There was no unified Igbo nation before 1900. It was the circumstance of colonialisim and creation of regions by the colonialists that brought Igbos together. Add the fact that none of the south south tribes were run by Igbos...some were run by the Edo kingdom, most were indpendent polities.

But I know Nigerias. Secession will not solve our problems. It will magnify them. I know Nigerians.

cheesy

Stop writing about secession on this site. Either get out and agitate, or take to the bush and fight for years. Or join a party and start working for good governance, not government of sharing.

The most annoying and vexatious thing about fulani savagery in Nigeria is that the so called fearless fulanis have been caged in their original homeland of Guinea and much of west Africa.............the tribe that incentivizes fulani misbehaviour in nigeria are the YORUBAS.....with their funny politics of igbo exclusion! go figure!

Speak for yourself and your region. It's not everyone region that has wayward people who don't know the meaning of living a sensible lifestyle.
When you all support anyhow people and you expect to live like other advanced countries, it's not possible.
In developed countries, the people are ready to call out bad leaders but over here the masses prefer to encourage them.
It's only one region in the whole Nigeria that don't worship god fathers and are the only region that can stand on their own.
Why not let them have their country and you all continue managing yourselves.
You are using other African countries as an example, forgetting the fact that our level of reasoning is totally different from them.
