My dad found out I’m not his bio daughter after 18 years of raising me. After the truth came out, he started treating my sister differently and ignoring me. For a year, he only took her to visit his new house, leaving me feeling abandoned. It’s been painful, especially after I learned from his wife that he no longer considers me his child. Now, I’m struggling to deal with the emotional toll it’s taken on me. How do you cope when the person you’ve always called "dad" no longer sees you as family?

First of all, aren't you erroneously assuming here that the house belonged to the man? Second, have you ever loved under the same roof with someone who once regarded you only for that person to, suddenly, begin to avoid you like a plague? It is heart wrenching for many especially when what once existed was a parent-child relationship.

I made no assumptions here. The story clearly says the man rejected her after so many years of her being his child. Rejection to individuals particular children can be as devastating as murder.
