Must everything be tribal to you lot? Akwa Ibom is also a functional part of Nigeria, and deserves federal presence in gas projects. Abia - Imo - Anambra already have Shell (natural gas) pipelines traversing those areas (NGIC owns and operates 7-Up/Ogbor Hill and probably Aloaji CNG Stations that feed the South East) - Companies like 7 Up, Glassforce, Nigerian Breweries Plc, Aba Malting Plant, and lots more benefit from the gas infrastructure in Abia.

May be this is a way of decentralizing gas projects in both regions. BUA Group is building a refinery in Akwa Ibom, and since LPG is a by-product of refined crude oil, this could be FG's avenue to maximise output by ensuring readily available markets for the investors, thus driving down costs.

Stop seeing everything from the prism of ethnicity and self-destroying witchcraft.
