Good evening everyone.

I just received a message from VFS that my visa application (study) is ready for collection. I applied on the 27th March. I am a bit worried by the swiftness of the entire process compared to the delay which most people have experienced.

Is this normal please??

Hello guys like I mentioned earlier I would be visiting every African country without flying and I have resumed already. In some weeks I would be in cape town , I want to spend three weeks there and I want to rent an affordable apartment there I don't need anything fancy. Does anyone have advice for me.

For more info about my journey you can check here

Good day house, I want to apply for South Africa tourist visa. I want to ask which documents I need to submit, so also I want to do paper application, how much is the visa fee? Will I also submit my passport during the application or will I be told to bring it for stamping after decision has been made on my application?
Your responses will be appreciated. Thank you

@hunee

UPDATE ON MY STAFF VISA APPLICATION.

1. After the back and forth exchange of correspondence, the High Commission went mute for weeks. This forced the event organizers to postpone the event by a few weeks, giving the importance of our participation.

2. We immediately contacted the High Commission with the new date, our letter was received the same day (one day to the old event date). That evening we received an email from VFS indicating movement of application (this was an indication that the visa had been denied, as we didn't submit his passport). We received the package two days later. Reason for denial was that the event had lapsed. The adjudication was wrong. Even if they didn't take into consideration the new date which we communicated with them, how could they claim the event had lapsed when the old event date was April 8, and the adjudication was made April 7. We sent an appeal - no response yet.

3. I had to apply for myself last week Wednesday to personally attend the meeting. Application arrived the High Commission the next day, Thursday. This afternoon I received a mail to submit my passport. Process took 2 working days.

4. I want my staff to apply for e-visa via VFS, kindly share the link. Any idea what the processing time is? Event is on Monday and I need him to travel this Saturday.

Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by hunee:
@Africankel, sorry for not meeting up with time. I just returned home and slept off for a short nap.

This is the link to apply: https://ehome.dha.gov.za/epermit/login
Please start quickly if you know you will be traveling next week.

As for the issues with home affairs, it is even more serious in South Africa right now.
We will revisit the many problems of home affairs at a future date.
Congratulations on your visa but how about applying for a long term visa rather than always applying for 90days Visas.
I have a long term tourist visa i applied for last year, this has saved me from multiple tourist visa applications like before.
All the best and keep me posted.
Regards
Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by hunee: 11:04pm On Apr 22, 2025
State in your next application that you want a long-term tourist visa to enable you to move faster due to your frequency in South Africa.
Attach all previous visas. It will be granted. That was what I did. I attached all my previous visas to substantiate my claims, and my application was granted.
Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Africankel(m): 11:05pm On Apr 22, 2025
Thank you for your response @hunee. We've already applied for the e-visa via VFS tonight, hopefully we get a response soon.

Yes, I've actually thought of applying for a long-term visa, but this particular trip was unplanned.

Merci

How many months or years duration of visa were you given and for how many days of stay?.
