Buba Galadima, the leader of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), has refuted allegations that the party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, intends to rejoin the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Galadima emphasized that the NNPP is focused on demonstrating its commitment to effective governance, asserting that only those who have failed politically discuss future elections while still in office.

It is worth noting that Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the National Chairman of the APC, recently speculated about Kwankwaso’s potential return to the ruling party, suggesting that the former presidential candidate is poised to make a comeback.

Ganduje made these comments during a visit from the Tinubu Support Group in Abuja, highlighting that the APC continues to attract significant political figures, including members of the federal legislature.

He expressed anticipation for Kwankwaso’s return to the party. However, in an interview with The Guardian regarding this matter, Galadima argued that it is only due to President Bola Tinubu’s influence that someone like the former governor of Kano could hold the position of chairman in a national party.

Galadima contended that no rational individual in Kano or elsewhere in the country should take pride in being associated with the APC under Ganduje’s leadership, claiming that the national chairman seeks to leverage the NNPP for media attention.

He remarked, “I am hearing this from you. If we were to join the APC, would Nigerians hear this from Ganduje? In fact, because of him, no one would want to join the APC. Only Tinubu could appoint Ganduje as party chairman.

“How can Ganduje hold any leadership position? They are the ones who keep us in the news because of their confusion. Everything is falling apart across the nation.

“These are the same individuals who utilize social media and propaganda to undermine us in the NNPP. If they are not alleging that Kwankwaso is working for President Tinubu, they will spread rumors that he is traveling to France to lobby the President.”

If everyone in the country is like me, no one will be getting reelected into power, because I know how to support and unsupport you within a year of you obtaining power if you are doing nonsense. This means that Obasanjo, Jonathan, Buhari and Tinubu will all have 4 years tenure because I will never have reelected them. That's me.

But majority of Nigerians have missed it. They are basing the standard for choosing a leader on tribes and zones. They have turned everything to Ronaldo/Messi kind of rivalry, so much that they prefer to vote and revote their oppressors. Left for me, let's say I am part of the senates or only people like me are in the senate, I would have pushed for the impeachment of this terrible oloriburuku president just within six months of his attainment of power.

Does having a president from your zone or religion benefit the masses, you in particular? No. So using religious or tribal bias to vote is always out of the question for me and I avoid accusing one tribe or the other like plague. I go directly for the jugular of the presidents and others in charge, even if you emanate from my tribe.

My support for anyone during election is like holding a pinch of salt. Once you get there and start bulabaing and balabuing, I turn to your oppose straight up, no time. I can't say because I am closest to the Yorubas and Tinubu built my primary school when I was a child, then he is the best governor or president. How I wish Nigerians can approach this leadership issues the way we approach failed football coaches. When they are doing well, we unanimously praise them. But let them start doing nonsense, you will start seeing Maresca Out, Mourinho Out!!!
That's the same way we should tackle the issues of politics so that these yeye leaders won't take us for fools.

I have spoken, let those who have sense reason deep and turn a new leaf. But for those who want to be fools forever, let them keep doing the same thing and expecting a different results. Abo oro la n so fun omoluabi. O digba.
