I was not used to the general hospital system, when I got there, I was directed to the place where I meet mothers with babies, I was giving a form to fill after that they called me to go and pay for card which is N1,500 I paid and returned it to them. They directed me to weigh my son then they took the papers inside a big building there were a lot of people who brought their children I also saw pregnant women there I think that is the building they attend to pregnant women and children, I entered the building and the doctors were calling the children's names, when it got to my son turn I entered and I explained to the doctor that I thought it is pile the doctor was surprised and laughed at me, I was just looking.
The doctor checked my son and said to me that it is hernia they are putting information on system, he wrote it inside the paper I posted here and directed me to another building called surgery department, when I got there, the woman collected the paper from me and wrote 12/06/2025 at the back of the paper that I should bring him I even thought that is the date they will do the surgery and I meet a lot of people there both adults and young people.

And when you got to that section,which part did they direct you to,

Thank you very much ma, when I got to the children section, I saw some people with their cards and I asked for the card after I paid N1,500 they said it is not available now they gave me the POS receipt that is attached to the form the record officer gave me, I was not the only one that did not collect card . After that I submitted the form and the POS receipt at the children section and they used that to call us to see the doctor who examined my son and directed me to the surgery section in another building on the third floor where I saw both adults and young people that is where they gave me the new date.

I was not used to their system, I thought the new date they gave me is the surgery date thinking doctor has examined him the next is surgery and the date is far to my surprise but I meet a lot of people there. The private hospital I went earlier, doctor examined him and told me it is hernia then he told me the amount that was what I thought with the general hospital after the doctor at the general hospital examined him, I thought the next is surgery, I didn't know we will still see a consultant.
For the card, when next I go there, I will ask for it.

Hernia in a boy is EASY to determine because it shows in a few ways, the groan, the testicle, or in the abdomen. You don't need tests because it's a VISUAL diagnostic!

You can literally SEE it with your eyes. This is where you lost your credibility with me. I don't know why you dislike op but I think it's linked to your tribal, gender, or religious bias.

You said you have someone working in general hospital, why didn't you give him or her this information here to check for you at least when I was given the new date at the surgery section yesterday, I asked the woman if I will do test for him then she said I should take the paper to laboratory, when I got there they checked with the number on the paper and told me no test for now, everything is computerized even the doctor that first attended to us computarised what he examined.

I don't know your motive why you are doing this but I will remind you a day before the appointment date for us to meet there

Well I don't know you, I have known nairaland since 2008, I am the first born of my family same with my husband I am working but not lucky to earn reasonable income struggling to survive. I am not a scammer sometimes if I don't have anywhere to turn to, I sick for help.
I have been treating this boy with herbs for the past 4 years paying herbs women I also did herb from a man thinking the man will know better, I know it is beyond my power presently. A family member that I know he still better in the family I called to lend me N10,000 that I will pay back at the end of the month when my daughter wanted to register for JAMB he told me that he has his own problem.
I don't want to fold my arms that is why I came here, this ailment has been troubling my mind since 4 years ago, non of my family members had hernia, I used to hear about it far away . I thought the sickness is for adults, I didn't have knowledge about it.

You speak truth. Giving agbo to children is very dangerous. There is no way to measure the ingredients and their effects on adults not to talk of children. This is why so many people are dying from liver and kidney issue. After they are adult if they choose to take agbo then that is their decision.

You see a doctor at general clinic after assessment he will refer the child , if fortunate you can get an appointment date from the unit referred to that same day.

If you have used a Lagos general hospital for delivery or children matters, sounds right. EMR card is 1500 or so.
