That's not true. Yorubas respect all and sundry as long as the person is worthy. But it's eye service when you prostrate to your British boss or Chinese neighbors or to an ibo man or northerner who don't prostrate or appreciate it in their own culture. Prostrating is not the only way to show respect.

I have been asking all those who have been crying here if anyone of them would prostrate to their Fulani or Hausa gateman simply because he's older. None of them has replied. They replied only with insults

Go and check a front page(islamic) thread on prostration they implied that Islam and the quran doesn't support prostration that means the Yoruba muslims won't prostrate for any elders, neither will the fulanis or the hausa's since almost all are muslims wasn't even the foolanis who brought Islam to nigeria?so they expect the Yoruba christians and the traditonalist to prostrate and genuflect for them as we are their slaves right?

This is indeed a significant issue because we have certain tribe in Nigeria where people disrespect their parents to the extent of waking them up with bicycle kicks, let alone showing disrespect to an elder from another tribe. We need to promote habits like this, especially when they come from respected individuals like Akinwumi. This way, our misguided brothers from that region can learn from and adopt better manners.

It takes someone that can wake his father with kicks nothing to insult anyone even older than shuch father on the social media platforms.

Can you prostrate before the Hausa maiguard in your house if you have one? Answer. But there are other ways you can honour and respect him as an elder. You don't send him on errands or shout at him. That's yoruba culture.

Do you prostrate to greet every elderly Yoruba person you encounter.
I will prostrate to greet Aliko Dangote if am opportune to meet him especially if he had just awarded me a multi billion naira
contract.
It's a virtue of a true omoluabi.
